I couldn’t be happier with the care I’ve received from Dr Manjaly and his team at the OneWelbeck Clinic. I’ve had problems with my ears for 20 years, but things suddenly got worse and over the course of about a year. I went deaf in my right ear, it felt full and I had tinnitus. I found Dr Manjaly via a search on google and from the first meeting with him, knew I’d managed to find someone who is clearly an expert in their field and passionate about the work they do, whilst at the same time is so very compassionate and kind to his patients. It turned out that I had a cholesteatoma behind my ear drum, which explained my symptoms. Dr Manjaly takes time to listen to his patients’ concerns and he knew I was really nervous about the surgery. Incredibly he managed to perform the entire surgery via my ear canal. The tumour was removed, and a new ear drum created from cartilage taken from my tragus. I have a titanium pin holding the ear drum in place. My recovery went really well, it was of course made easier because the surgery wasn’t too invasive in the end, thanks to Dr Manjaly’s skill, and what also helped was Dr Manjaly was incredibly reassuring via email when I did have questions or concerns. My hearing is better, the sense of fullness is relieved, and my tinnitus has almost completely cleared up. I am so very grateful I found Dr Manjaly and was fortunate enough to be treated by him. Couldn’t recommend him more highly!

I recently had the pleasure of my son being treated by Joe Manjaly, an exceptional ENT consultant whose expertise and dedication are truly unparalleled. From the moment I stepped into his office, I was met with a level of professionalism and care that immediately put me at ease. Joe Manjaly is not only an outstanding surgeon but also a trusted advisor who provides excellent advice tailored to each patient's unique needs. His surgical skills are nothing short of extraordinary, and his ability to explain complex medical issues in a clear and understandable manner is incredibly reassuring. Throughout my son’s treatment, I felt confident that I was in the best possible hands. What sets Joe apart is his genuine commitment to his patients' well-being. He takes the time to listen, understand, and address all concerns, ensuring that every aspect of care is thoroughly covered. His compassionate approach and meticulous attention to detail make him a standout in his field. Additionally, it is worth noting that Joe Manjaly is from a family of ENT consultants so ENT is in the blood. As the man that got all of the brains in the sibling group, he is looked up upon by his brother as a role model. His reputation as a leading ENT consultant is well-deserved, and I am incredibly grateful for the outstanding care I received under his guidance. In summary, Joe Manjaly is a remarkable ENT consultant whose expertise, advice, and compassionate care make him a trusted and highly respected professional. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone in need of top-tier ENT care.

Getting the cochlear implant was the best decision I’ve made! Growing up, I’ve had to use hearing aids. At first they were good but in the later years, they flopped me. It was like listening to warbling, radio noises; nothing sounded right. I nearly gave up and accepted that I was going to be deaf for life. However, after being referred to ENT for a cochlear implant (I was surprised because I wasn’t even aware about it) I discussed with Dr Joe Manjaly and the cochlear team about the outcomes of having one, and I did all my research; I decided not to have it because I was scared for multiple reasons. Yet, after two years of struggling with my hearing, I came back and decided I needed it. Doctor Joe Manjaly was kind and assisted me throughout the whole process. The operation wasn’t even painful. You’ll wake up and feel numb but as long as you take your medication that they prescribed you, you’ll breeze through the healing process. Took me a week at most. Then came the day I first wore the processor, a month later. Don’t get me wrong, it sounded bad at first — like a lot of squeaking, and I hated it, but I literally heard every single thing around me that I never thought I could hear in my life. The tap water running, the rain which was mind blowing, the bird singing, the tap of keyboard, the footsteps. It was like a totally new world! And eventually after numerous fine tuning appointments, the sounds got even better to the point where I literally can’t live without it. It even helps me to hear people without lip reading them! I still wear hearing aids on the other ear to balance it out, but honestly, cochlear implant is like an addiction! All thanks to Dr Joe Manjaly. Definitely recommend getting a cochlear for anyone struggling to hear. One thing to note if you get a headache, reduce the magnet. You’ll thank me. TL,DR: Best decision I’ve made. Changed my life. Dr Joe Manjaly helped me with everything. I can now hear everything that I never thought I could.

Dr Manjaly obviously has superb medical skills but it is his clear, reassuring and patient manner that I particularly appreciate. He listens attentively, explains clearly and advises gently but clearly.
