I had been experiencing problems with my knee , and on consulting with Mr Carrothers he suggested that a replacement would be the best option . With the help of an x ray Mr Carrothers explained what was causing the issues I was having and what could be done to rectify the situation . He is very patient and talks to you rather than at you & answers any questions that you may have . The procedure itself is explained in as much detail as you may want .

A very reassuring professional and great Surgeon. I understood all of my procedure and I'm now either weeks post a hip replacement and if anything I'm ahead of schedule . All the pain I suffered pre-op has gone. I highly recommend Mr Carrothers.

First of all I would like to thank Mr Carrothers and his lovely team. Over the lat few years I have had four procedures under Mr A Carrothers and one yet to come. I have been so so ! lucky to have found him.He is a lovely person not only to meet but to be treated by.He treats you with respect and genuine care. Everything is explained to you and you are not treated like a lump of meat with no brain as I recently encountered unfortunately .The results of the surgery are fantastic ! I cannot recommend him highly enough. I have total trust in him which you feel within minutes of meeting him Thank you..

I had a Mako total hip replacement to restore me to my usual high levels of physical activity. The operation was performed at the end of April and I am now seven weeks into recovery, which is going as well as I could have hoped. I'm now driving again and can now walk up to four miles without crutches, with only slight subsequent stiffness and soreness, which I'm advised will continue to diminish. Mr Carrothers has been thoroughly professional and supportive throughout the whole process – from the initial consultations, to the pre-operation tests and preparations, in the operation itself, and in the recuperation process. Despite the pressures on him he also manages to give one a degree of personal attention that undoubtedly has a positive effect on the patients' confidence and motivation.
