I had a Mako total hip replacement to restore me to my usual high levels of physical activity. The operation was performed at the end of April and I am now seven weeks into recovery, which is going as well as I could have hoped. I'm now driving again and can now walk up to four miles without crutches, with only slight subsequent stiffness and soreness, which I'm advised will continue to diminish.
Mr Carrothers has been thoroughly professional and supportive throughout the whole process – from the initial consultations, to the pre-operation tests and preparations, in the operation itself, and in the recuperation process. Despite the pressures on him he also manages to give one a degree of personal attention that undoubtedly has a positive effect on the patients' confidence and motivation.
