Mr John Crawford is an excellent, experienced and skilled consultant orthopaedic and spinal surgeon. His approach to a patient is respectful and sympathic to one's medical situation. He is very thorough in his questioning in order to find the appropriate solution to your problem. He gave me a detailed explanation of what he proposed to do to rectify the problem that I had encountered with my lower back. I felt reassured. My operation was 100% successful and I am delighted with the outcome.

I was due to have this operation 14 months before I actually had it Great communication from Mr. Crawford secretary while waiting When I went to meet Mr Crawford pre op He was very apologetic that I had waiting for so long Hospital stay was very good he came to check on me in the ward Today he has called me as face to face appointment was cancelled due to the nurses strike He spent time listening to all my questions gave me the advice to make sure my recovery continued well

John Crawford is absolutely superb with the advice he gives, the explanations he offers and the operations he performs. I feel extremely fortunate to have been referred to him with my ongoing coccyx and back pain both of which have now been completely resolved. My first operation to remove my coccyx left me able to sit comfortably once more and stand without the shooting pains that I was experiencing (2019). My second operation (Jan 2022) was an instrumented spinal fusion, the pain relief in my legs was instantaneous and the back pain I was experiencing has completely resolved following recovery. He is fantastic at what he does and I would recommend him wholeheartedly. A big thank you to him and to the amazing team that he works with at the Spire.
