I first saw Alex in February 2023 in the Colorectal Clinic. I was extremely worried having been referred for a colonoscopy. He could see this in my face and he immediately put me and my partner at ease by talking everything through. I had the procedure last week and although Alex did no perform mine, he saw me and came and spoke to me to explain I was in the best hands and that all was going to be ok. Alex has been there to answer any questions I have. He js great as it is often difficult to get through to certain departments with a query. He always answer and is professional and truthful. He has a genuine compassion to do his job and help people.

I was entirely at comfortable in your care right after our initial consultation. I felt confident and trusted in your abilities because you took the time to thoroughly explain the process, address my worries, and respond to my inquiries. Throughout the entire process, you demonstrated a high level of skill and precision, and I felt like I was in the best possible hands. But your bedside demeanour was what really impressed me. You made a challenging situation much more pleasant since you were always kind, understanding, and patient. Omg what a great doctor, very kind knowledgeable great personality kept me informed from start to finish, I can honestly say I can’t find anything negative to say about him I would definitely recommend him. I was seen by Alex Hotouras two weeks ago today in his clinic at Whipps Cross Hospital. He examined me and then explained in ordinary language my husband and I could fully understand, what the problem might be. He said I needed a colonoscopy, which I had this afternoon, and before, during and after, he was very congenial, talked to me throughout the whole procedure, and made me feel much less on edge than when I entered the room. He didn’t use terminology above my understanding, but didn’t talk down to me either. Thankfully I was discharged with a clean bill of health. Without a doubt I would recommend him to future patients 100%, no ifs, no buts, no maybes.
