For several weeks at the beginning of the year I was a patient at Whipps Cross hospital under the care of Mr Alex Hotouras.
The care I received from both Alex and the whole team at the hospital was exemplary.
Alex treated me with such dignity and respect at all times. At no time did I feel that I was uninformed, my questions were answered in detail and treatment plans were agreed upon.

Very caring, good listener, sympathetic and always keen to help.
He will not mind even he has to attend an emergency at midnight and take to operation theatre straight way instead of waiting for the next morning.

I had an appointment for colorectal today at 09:30 at Whipsscross hospital, they were experiencing some issues with computers and couldn’t log in to attend patients booked. Alex was constantly running up and down to inform all patients about the issues, was very honest and apologetic. I spoke to him directly and explain I would wait rather than reschedule as I had been waiting 7/8 months for the appointment. He made sure he would see me. Great example of someone who cares about people and understand how to deal with difficult situations out of his control!

This doctor was kind and compassionate with me and very patient with me as I was very anxious during my hospitalisation. He came across as knowledgeable and calm about my medical condition.
Although, he was clearly very busy he always took the time out to answer my questions and make me aware of each step of my treatment.

I had been really nervous about my colonoscopy, but throughout the entire process from my initial consultation through to the actual procedure, Dr. Alex made me feel safe, relaxed and well informed.
Dr. Alex was incredibly knowledgeable, empathetic, calming, reassuring, professional and had a great sense of humour. He could sense I was anxious and continually reassured me and answered any questions I had. Dr. Alex kept me fully updated during the procedure, as well as kindly going out of his way to update my family who were in the waiting room.
I feel incredibly grateful and thankful to have had Dr. Alex conduct my colonoscopy. I would highly recommend!
