Dr Hugh Jones identified the cause of the pain from which my wife suffered as Polymyalgia Rheumatica, which I understand is not easily diagnosed. His subsequent treatment has considerably relieved the discomfort and he considers that further treatment may improve the situation even more. Dr Jones has a pleasant manner and one is made very welcome at his consultations. He is a good listener and responds positively to questions. I can only assess Dr Jones as a non-medical person myself, however from my experience during consultations, I believe that he has a wide knowledge of Rheumatology and must rank as a senior consultant in his field of expertise.

I have been a patient of Dr.Jones for many years,after being diagnosed with R A I also have Gaucher's Disease. I always have confidence in Dr.Jones he always listens to what I have to say and is very caring and always cheerful,it's so nice to have a him as my doctor. I look forward to being in his care in the future.

I have had rheumatoid arthritis for about 25 years and have been seeing Dr Jones for about 15. I have always found him helpful and friendly with a sense of fun. As my arthritis has been well controlled and stable for about 10 years I only see Dr Jones once a year to check on my condition. If I do have a problem when I see him he always solves it with an effective injection. He has often made it clear that if I were to have a problem between my annual appointments I could phone up and arrange to see him for an injection. As I say, friendly and helpfull.

Dr Jones is always very friendly and approachable and has an excellent patient/doctor manner, which I find very reassuring. He doesn't just tell me what's going to happen, I feel more like he listens first and takes my wishes into account before deciding on the best way forward. This is exactly what I would hope for in a doctor. Thank you.
