I have seen al-Shakarchi for 10 years now and find her outstanding in her treatment, she always listens and makes you feel comfortable no matter how busy she might be. I know that when I am having a flare up she will find a way to reduce the pain if possible. It is a comfort to know that I will see her at each visit as continuity is a vital path to improving health .

I saw Dr Al-Shakarchi today. She was running late but apologised profusely and I really felt she meant it! She was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. She listened carefully to me and offered a second opinion on my medical condition, which is what I was seeking. She shared her thinking with me and I felt included in that thinking. I left feeling reassured that the treatment I will receive is the right one. Many thanks to you Dr Al-Shakarchi for your friendly, inclusive consultation.

Dr Al-shakarchi has been my consultant for a good few years. She is clearly very knowledgeable in her field and a true professional but manages to balance this with the perfect amount of care and compassion, never forgetting I am a person and not just a disease. I expect I have been a tricky patient at times but her patience never wavers and she always listens to my thoughts and gives me time and space to make a decision about treatment. I would highly recommend her and her team to anyone needing rheumatology care.

Dr Al-ShakarchiMy experience with an NHS consultant was exemplary, setting a high standard for patient care. What stood out was her unparalleled attention to detail and genuine empathy. She took the time to listen attentively to my concerns, making me feel heard and understood in a way that's rare in busy medical settings. Her explanations of my condition and the treatment plan were thorough yet easy to understand, tailored specifically to my needs and understanding level. Her approach went beyond mere clinical interactions; she showed a deep level of care and concern for my overall well-being, not just my symptoms. This holistic care approach made a significant difference in my treatment experience, alleviating much of my anxiety and building trust in the process. In summary, this NHS consultant's dedication to her patients is evident in her exceptional listening skills, clear communication, and heartfelt empathy. Her professionalism and compassionate care are what make her stand out as a beacon of excellence within the NHS. I left my appointment feeling reassured, valued, and confident in my care plan, thanks to her outstanding support.
