Very caring, understanding doctor. He did not question what i told him about my past care and trusted that I knew what I needed for my care. He was very personable and made me feel at ease throughout my stay. He also came and checked on me afterwards to make sure that I was feeling ok.

Prior to my operation I was visited by Dr David Uncles, who answered all of my questions in thorough but simple terms and bolstered my confidence in what was about to take place, should ever need to undergo a general anaesthetic at any future time I would feel most confident in his care.

Professional, but friendly, care from a Consultant who gave me great confidence.
We need to be able to trust the team looking after us when undergoing an operation and Dr. Uncles certainly had that from me. A reassuring visit before the procedure and a calming influence as I waited to "go under"!

I am a specialist Anaesthetist with interests in Obstetric, Ambulatory and Inpatient anaesthesia. I employ a variety of anaesthetic techniques including general or regional anaesthesia, although I often use them in combination to optimise and enhance patients' peri and post-operative experience.
I am dedicated to putting the patient first through the provision of safe and reassuring care delivered in conjunction with my colleagues and associates.
I was present at the inauguration of the Helsinki Declaration in June 2010. This enshrines the values essential to the promotion of the highest professional and safety standards expected of anaesthetists. It is my hope to match or even exceed the expectations of patients who place their trust in me.
