Dr Uncles had such a reassuring, calm nature and explained the whole procedure including the difference between a General Anaesthetic and a Spinal which I was nervous about having, there was no pressure but after his explanation I decided to go ahead with a spinal, and I am so pleased I did, he spoke to me throughout explaining every step of the way what he was about to do, I trusted him explicitly he was professional kind and never rushed anything, a true gentleman and an expert in his field, I would highly recommend DR Uncles. Dr David Uncles and Claire were my aneathetists when I had my foot fusion operation. They were both fantastic. They put me at ease and ensured I had as little pain as possible. Dr Uncles had been my anaesthetist in a previous operation where I had had an adverse reaction to a product used. I was concerned this time but Dr Uncles came before surgery to reassure me that the product was under lock and key and I felt reassured that this time all would be fine. Dr Uncles went to my room after to reassure my wife who was waiting that all was fine and I was wide awake in recovery. Would highly recommend this man.

Dr Uncles recently provided the anaesthesia for my Hip Replacement procedure. I was very wary of having sedation and spinal anaesthesia as opposed to a General anaesthetic fearing being conscious and aware of what was going to happen. Dr Uncles was very reassuring and convincing, persuading me to opt for spinal and sedation. On waking up and being asked what I thought of the procedure my genuine response was "I have no idea" which is exactly what I wanted. Sedation and Spinal anaesthesia allows the body to recover in a matter of 1-2 hours, no nausea, dizziness confusion sore throat etc. Later in the day Dr Uncles came to see me to confirm all was well - which it was he also highlighted another issue that was evident from the pre-op that he advised me to raise at a later date with my GP

I cannot praise Dr Uncles enough for the genuine care and compassion he gave me for my operation. He treated me like family and reassured me at every step. I would not hesitate to recommend him to all of my family and friends!

Went into Goring Hall Hospital to have a total knee replacement and was very anxious. The doctor put me at ease with his witty banter and humour. He couldn't have been more helpfull.
