I felt total confidence with David Uncles, he explained everything clearly and after the procedure came and saw me twice to check.

Dr. Uncles was kind and professional while I was preparing to have squint surgery last weekend. I sometimes experience anxiety during medical procedures, but I felt very comfortable and reassured this time. The surgery was a success and I had no problems.

I found his 'bedside' manner was so calming and informative. He was delightful and worked well with his colleague Eddie just like a double act, which put me very much at ease. I had the best sleep ever!! He even came back to see how I was after he'd finished work - what a star.

I found Dr David Uncles supportive and sensitive when discussing my treatment. He was sympathetic and discussed the pros and cons of the various treatments without any pressure. He was also supportive during the operation and followed up with a visit to the ward to check all was well. More doctors like this please. Jacqueline Pollard

Profile

I am a specialist Anaesthetist with interests in Obstetric, Ambulatory and Inpatient anaesthesia. I employ a variety of anaesthetic techniques including general or regional anaesthesia, although I often use them in combination to optimise and enhance patients' peri and post-operative experience.
I am dedicated to putting the patient first through the provision of safe and reassuring care delivered in conjunction with my colleagues and associates.
I was present at the inauguration of the Helsinki Declaration in June 2010. This enshrines the values essential to the promotion of the highest professional and safety standards expected of anaesthetists. It is my hope to match or even exceed the expectations of patients who place their trust in me.
