A pleasant manner and I felt confident in him. Having heard my history of post anaesthetic sickness, Dr Uncles assured me he would give me medication to prevent this. Unfortunately it didn't work and I was very sick post-operatively and well into the night. In fact I don't remember much about this period. I don't know whether he came to see me after the operation.
As a nervous patient I was most reassured by his calm and professional manner. He engaged me in conversation about my favourite subject, horse racing, in the pre-theatre room which helped me relax and just beforeI went under I gave him a tip for the following day which won at 8/1. I hoped he backed it.
Thoroughly recommend him as a caring and capable doctor.
I was not happy about a spinal anaesthesia as I have had a Lumba puncture when I was a child back in the 1940's but, after talking with Dr Uncles I was completely at ease with the whole procedure. It was a very successful.
I recently visited BMI Goring Hall to undergo surgery on my knee. Dr Uncles met with me pre op and made me feel very comfortable before going into theatre discussing everything in a calm and confident manor. I had some concerns regarding sickness post op as I suffered from this in previous surgery. However, I had no problems coming round from the anaesthetic.
Dr Uncles paid me a visit following surgery to assess my state and was extremely professional. I was also very impressed that he came out his way the following morning to see me on route to Worthing Hospital. This was a great touch of professionalism. Would highly recommend.
My Consultant Anaesthetist introduced himself to me and then explained his role in my care during my stay in theatre. I felt fully informed, confident in his ability and even relaxed! 100% happy!
