Dr. Armstrong puts me so at ease..I am a needle phobic but he sits and talks to me until I feel OK about having my treatment and doesn't rush me. I am due to have my hand operated on and though I don't relish the thought, I know Dr Armstrong will be there to put me at ease..!!

I was recommended to Dan Armstrong after having hand problems which had been going on some time .first time I met him very polite and a gentleman . Mr A rmstrong soon got to the problem which I had so long before going to see him . Wow my hand now works normal with no problems . Then it was on to the other hand were I put my trust in Mr Armstrong . Mr Dan Armstrong has always put me at ease and always explained every procedure which is very important . I TRavel from Warwickshire to the hospital (1.5 hour) and it's well worth everything when you get first class treatment. Dan Armstrong is very caring, considerate and helpful consultant that I have ever been to and I won't forget all the help he hasn't given me and I'm true grateful to Dan Armstrong

I was lucky enough to be referred to the care of Mr Armstrong in late 2015. I had an incomplete trigger finger release and poor movement. From the minute I walked into his office he put me at my ease. Shook my hand and treated me with upmost respect. He sent me for intensive physio in the hope it would ease my symptoms. Unfortunately it didn't. Early this year Mr Armstrong requested a nerve conduction study to see if there were also issues with returning carpal tunnel. The results showed that I did indeed have that too. He asked me if I would like him to operate on my hand at The Royal Derby hospital. But warned me there would be a long wait. On the 13th November I was lucky enough to receive a cancellation. When I arrived the nursing staff listened to all of my concerns, and passed these on to Mr Armstrong. He came to see me and put me at my ease yet again. He has a very calming nature. I was given a nerve block in theatre and taken in for my procedure. He chatted away to me throughout and explained everything that he was doing. From the first incision to the final stitch. He even bandaged my wound. He also told me he wanted me to see him the following week as he wanted me to start physio straight away. I think even he was surprised by my huge smile when I walked into his consultation room. I had full movement of my hand. And the scars were looking amazing. I cannot thank him enough for his patience, kindness and extremely caring attitude towards me. A true gentleman. And a pleasure to be his patient.

I cannot overstate just how impressed I am with Dr. Armstrong. He immediately identified where the problem(s) lay, talked me through things in layman's terms, and explained how things could be treated. He was understanding, confident, professional, and actually took the time to listen to me ! Please employ more doctors like him.
