I was very lucky to be looked after by Claire and the team at Gatwick Spire. Medical procedures make me really nervous but Claire was so reassuring and kind throughout and i was really cared for and looked after all day. Thanks so much to Claire and the team for all they did for me

I wasn't nervous on arriving, but after sitting around for a few hours I became a bit anxious. Claire came to visit me in my room and also put me under and she was Fab' !! I would like to thank her for her help in what is a major part of any Op' under G.A

Dr Means you as a very caring doctor. She explained to me exactly what was going to happen and how I would feel during the experience and afterwards. She completely made me feel at ease. While putting me under anaesthesia she was chatting to me until I drifted off.

Professional care and personal attention is how I would describe my treatment in the hands of Dr Clare Mearns. Informative from the start with a most relaxed manner, without question taking away any anxiety one might have had. Similarly during the procedure she chatted and engaged with me, so quite honestly I almost forgot why I was there! In fact her attention made the whole procedure a pleasant experience. Denise Evans

Dr Claire Mearns was totally approachable, professional and friendly. She eased me into the theatre environment, gently distracting my attention away from the procedure as I was about to fall asleep. Claire took time to find out about my needs pre-op, and popped her head around the curtain to check-in on me again after I had woken up.

I was fortunate enough to have this incredible Doctor by my side with during my operation. I was quite nervous about this but my mind was completely put at ease having total confidence in the fact I was very much listened to when raising my concerns around this. I had zero sickness and very little dizziness which were my concerns after the operation and in fact the dizziness was only slightly present when I stood up for the first couple of times afterwards. I would throughly recommend Dr Claire Mearns and have total faith in the care that I received. Most thank ful.

Dr Mearns was thoroughly professional throughout my procedure. I found her to be personable and caring, taking time to answer all my questions. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend whatsoever.

Dr Claire provided very clear guidance and she answered lots of questions. She was also very gentle and reassuring as I went into theatre. Excellent care and can highly recommend.
