I have recently had a lipoabdominoplasty (tummy tuck to you and me!) carried out my Mr Ajay Mahajan at the Yorkshire Clinic. What a fabulous surgeon. His attention to all the finer details is exceptional. The details regarding all the associated procedures together with the consequences of recovery were so thorough that all of my questions were answered. I found him to be a very approachable, diligent (he wrote after all visits to my own GP to update my medical records), supportive and extra cautious in assisting full recovery after a minor wound infection. I enjoyed my surgery and recovery under his care. I am now thinking of what else he can do!! The care on the Ward was not only friendly but very informative. The nursing staff were lovely and even though they must be rushed off their feet had time for you if you needed anything. Food was great by the way. So good that I had to be careful not to need another ‘tummy tuck’! Highly recommend the surgeon and the hospital. Lyn Creasey August 2017

I'm 21 years old and recently had a breast augmentation. This procedure is something I've wanted since my mid teenage years, however I've always been apprehensive. After a lot of research I came across Spire Elland Hospital and more importantly Mr Mahajan who has a great reputation within the plastic surgery industry. As my mum was set against my breast augmentation, I let her further research into Mr Mahajan to reassure herself and she finally got on board. Further down the line I booked a consultation with Mr Mahajan at the hospital and had the chance to speak to him about what I wanted. He was very reassuring and more importantly, realistic. Growing up I had never developed any sort of breast tissue, meaning I was completely flat, I was measured by Mr Mahajan and found to only have 2cm worth of breast tissue, in simple terms, I didn't even fit into a training bra! This was a huge insecurity of mine, I absolutely dreaded going on holiday or to the swimming pool and would never change in front of people. As I explained to Mr Mahajan I wanted a natural looking pair of boobs, I didn't want to look like I had two massive melons stuck on my chest. Mr Mahajan explained the issue with having such a small amount of breast tissue, meant 1. the skin would be difficult to stretch, meaning I couldn't go too big and 2. it would be best placed under the muscle in order to cover the implant in order to avoid it looking 'stuck on'. Like I previously mentioned, my process with Mr Mahajan was never rushed and most importantly realistic. He did not promise things he could not guarantee and he made me feel at ease throughout every appointment. As my surgery date approached I was a mixture of scared, nervous, happy and unsettled. I kept constantly wondering "Will my implants look right? Are they big enough? Will I be okay". Every question was running through my mind. When the day finally came, everything ran so smoothly, I had the chance to talk with Mr Mahajan before my surgery as he marked me up. He mentioned his worries of whether he would physically be able to get the implant behind my muscle due to the lack of skin. He was upfront and honest - something which is definitely reassuring before surgery. Fast forward a few hours and I was woken up, feeling terribly drowsy from the anaesthetic... with BOOBS! - you know those two things on your chest that I'd never had before! Even better, I had no drains and only two small incisions covered by bandages - It was amazing! Later that night Mr Mahajan popped in to see me and I finally got the chance to see them, they looked AMAZING. They didn't look stupidly oversized or stuck on, they were pert, symmetrical and boobs... actual boobs! Now, the few days after surgery are the worst! I left hospital in my little bubble of excitement, however in the days after I found myself questioning whether my boobs were big enough. I was already warned by Mr Mahajan of 'boob greed' and thought I'd avoid it as I'd never had any anyway, however I was fretting about the size to the point where I ended up asking for a telephone consultation with Mr Mahajan - who called me back within a couple of hours! During the conversation I had the chance to have a better chat with him and I was reassured about my size and told I couldn't have gone any bigger if I'd had wanted to, as it was a struggle even getting these implants in due to my lack of skin. I'm now approaching 4 weeks later and I've never felt better, I had my bandages removed last week and my scars are tiny! I had a follow up appointment with Mr Mahajan to discuss everything I needed to and I'm due to see him in 3 months. My boobs have dropped loads and I can finally sleep on my side! I've bought a few none wired bras and I'm currently fitting a 32DD - (I never thought I'd say that!) Above all, I'm so thankful to Mr Mahajan, he made the entire process so relaxed, I never once felt worried about the outcome as I felt like I was in good hands, he's unbelievably well trained (honestly Google him, he's everywhere) and very professional! If I can give anyone any advice if they're due to have surgery or still in the process of deciding, it's definitely worth it, but do your research! Don't be taken in by these 'clinics' that offer cheap surgery, at the end of the day, it may be cosmetic but it is still surgery. Finally and most importantly, research your surgeon, find one who is realistic and professional and who genuinely has your best interest in mind - find Mr Mahajan Thank you!

After being unhappy with my thighs, ever since I was an early teenager, I finally took the plunge to have Liposuction. At the time of surgery my thighs measure 29 inch, at the top, and 25 inch just above my knees. I spoke to Mr Mahajan who admitted it would be a challenge but would do his best. I attended my local Spire hospital and was well looked after and placed at ease by everybody I came into contact with. Mr Mahajan came to see me shortly before surgery and, again, assured me he would do his best with what he had to work with. Surgery went well and I did not feel much pain afterwards; this may have been down to the pain killers and I felt nicely relaxed from the anaesthetic – I had an overnight stay in the hospital. The following day I went home and still there was not much pain, the hospital provided me with strong painkillers which I did not feel the need to take and instead I took paracetamol every 6 hours for 2-3 days. I rested a lot for about 5 days, but regularly walked around the house every hour. The results for me have been fantastic. It has been 5 weeks since surgery, I am still wearing the supports (which I find really comfy), but I am buying clothes one or two sizes smaller, depending on the fit, and I now measure 25 inches, at the top of my thighs, and 20 inches, at the top of my knees. My confidence has grown and, unfortunately, so has my clothes buying. Mr Mahajan was very honest and professional. I attended two appointments with him before the procedure, he then came to see me on the day of the surgery and first thing the following morning. I have since had a follow up appointment and have another in August. As a result of this I felt reassured and fully informed at every stage. I would fully recommend Mr Mahajan to anyone considering this procedure. The Spire Hospital Elland has been a very pleasant experience. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and I was regularly checked up upon. I have been contacted as and when was necessary and felt I received exactly the right amount of information.

Treatment: Neck lift & liposuction I've always hated my double chin. A few years ago I lost 6 stone but my chin stayed the same- like a line from my chin to my chest and not really any neck. I felt really bad about it and avoided mirrors, so much that I felt disfigured. I met Mr Mahajan for an initial consultation in January. When I was waiting there was a man there for a check up on surgery he'd had on his hand. He told me how pleased he was with Mr Mahajan and how he was now able to use his hand again. I could tell he was over the moon. I hadn't even met Mr Mahajan yet but from the man's reaction I knew he was a great guy! I had a list of questions ready and he answered them all very patiently and put my mind at ease. I booked surgery for May because it worked best for me with having time off work. The surgery was great- not much pain, lovely room, lovely nurses. I was very comfortable and happy for my one night stay. Mr Mahajan came to see me that night a few hours after my surgery to take my bandages off and show me how I looked. I was in a bit of a daze because I was so happy that for the first time in years I had a neck- even swollen and a bit bruised I could see he'd done a fantastic job. It's now 3 weeks after surgery and the bruising/ swelling has all gone. I went back to work 2 weeks after the operation and no-one has noticed, which is exactly what I wanted. I told one person and she was amazed how natural my face/ neck look. She didn't believe I'd had anything done until I showed her my before & after pics. I would tell anyone thinking of doing this to go and see Mr Mahajan. He really has changed my life for the better and I can't thank him enough.

After losing a substantial amount of weight over around a 2.5 year period, I have been left with rather a lot of loose skin which was rather upsetting after working hard to lose over 7.5 stones. The worst area happened to be my breasts which before the weight loss had been verging on an H cup and were now a very saggy empty D cup! I made the decision along with my partner that I would look at getting a breast lift and began researching on who could do this locally as I wanted a local surgeon who I could see easily in the case of any problems. After seeing one surgeon for a mini consultation who I didn’t feel was the right one for me, I found some reviews of Mr Ajay Mahajan and on seeing images of the past work with other patients decided to book a mini consultation with him at the Spire Elland hospital. He immediately put me at ease with his friendly manner and during the consultation spent time explaining what he felt was achievable and showing me further examples of his work to illustrate this. I decided to go ahead with him and he fitted me in for the surgery with only 4 weeks’ notice. The level of care received at Spire Elland from Mr Mahajan and his team was outstanding as was the care from the nursing staff. I only needed to stay a single night and had no issues at all following from the surgery, but it was made clear in the information provided beforehand that help was only a phone call away if I had any concerns so I felt very reassured. I have to say the results are above and beyond what I was expecting and am now in a position to go braless with confidence for the first time in my life! I can’t recommend Mr Mahajan enough and can honestly say that if am in a position financially to go ahead with the further body lift surgery I would like to have in the future, I will be returning to him to have it done.
