I had a disc in my neck removed and an artificial one replaced. Before I had the operation I was in was the worst pain i have ever known from a compressed ruptured nerve on my neck. It was the best feeling when I woke up from the operation not having the excruciating pain down my right arm. So when I have my post op appointment I am going to shake this man's hand.

Dr Arzoglou operated on our father to remove a spinal compression. The surgery took almost twice as long as had been expected and it was evident that the surgeons had worked hard to make the operation a success. Dr Arzoglou and his team were very happy with the outcome and our Dad was in good spirits just hours after coming round. Dad developed sepsis in its most severe form and the wound somewhat struggled to heal however Dr Arzoglou continued to care for the wound and visited Dad at a different hospital to check on the wound. Within weeks the wound healed beautifully and the effects of the sepsis subsided. Sadly Dad had an underlying condition and recently died but we were pleased that the compression was relieved because shortly before our father's death he was doing really well and was beginning to regain movement in his legs and awaiting physiotherapy. The success of the operation gave Dad the chance to hope; it slowed down the progression of the disease and gave him real quality time to enjoy being with his family again. We are thankful to Dr Arzoglou and his team and know that our father also appreciated all that they did for him.

I went to see Mr Arzoglou, about a severe back problem, and he was excellent he was very polite and understanding, and examined me thoroughly. He put me in for a scan and has referred me to another consultant. I could not have had better care, at a difficult time.

Mr Arzoglou had a great bedside manner, he put me at ease and carefully explained my condition,. he was most reassuring and we looked at the scans together and really boosted my confidence after what has been a really difficult time.Both myself and my husband felt relieved, comforted and left the appointment feeling really positive.

Mr Vasileios Arzoglou was very professional, gave me a through examination as I was having trouble with my lower back and losing the ability to walk with my leg, like I had 10 years ago. I was very concerned that surgery would be needed again. I chose Mr Arzoglou as he was a neurologist and specialised in spines. He was very clear with what he thought it might be but re assured me that surgery isn't always needed and made me see things from a different point of view. He is very re assuring and will make sure that you, as his patient, are happy with his recommendations. I would highly recommend him if you have any back or neurology problems. I now have made adaptations to my lifestyle, hardly any pain relief is needed and no operation needed either.
