I have just had a hernia repair carried out by Mr Appleton and have nothing but praise for him and his team. From my first appointment in his clinic to the operation and at the recent follow up appointment I found him to be first class. He was polite, efficient and explained everything very clearly. Having suffered extreme pain off and on for about 2 years due to this hernia, I now feel, after the operation, to be free of that pain and am able to do things that I had been prevented from doing for many months.

After having many symptoms for a few week's, I saw Mr Appleton mainly as I've been having problems digesting food. He immediately made me feel at ease. He came across very professional but also showed he had empathy with how I was feeling. My test's came back clear but Mr Appleton has continued to stay in touch trying to work with my gp surgery to find out what's causing my symptoms. A very caring professional who had a gentle sense of humour which helped whilst I had my investigations. Thank you.

I recently suffered my second attack of biliary colic caused by my gall stones which proved to be a very painful experience. I was referred to Mr Appleton who suggested the removal of my gallbladder which would give me peace of mind that I would not suffer this pain again. Being a very nervous person regarding medical intervention of any sorts, I found on meeting and discussing the situation with him I was very soon put at ease with his calming and professional nature. Going forward to the point of time for the operation, I felt that I could not have been in better hands. The operation proved to be a complete success and I was so very pleased with the level of care I received from not only Mr Appleton, but from all of the nursing staff at the Chiltern hospital. I did however require a slightly longer stay in hospital due to blood pressure issues, but this was purely precautionary. On my return home I received a telephone call from Mr Appleton late in the evening enquiring on my wellbeing and believe it or not, apologising to me because my stay in hospital was extended by a few hours. Mr Appleton is a truly kind, caring and professional man and I would strongly recommend him to any person who found themselves in need of any medical treatment.

I was treated by Mr Appleton for an umbilical hernia at BMI Chiltern hospital in July 2016. The operation was very successful and I can't recommend Mr Appleton highly enough for both his professionalism and caring demeanour. Richard A.
