I saw Fiona recently due to some nipple/breast changes and she was very nice, reassuring and approachable. The one-stop clinic is a great idea as it means all tests can be done on the same day and initial diagnosis/opinion made quickly so that you do not have the anxiety of having to go back for further scans/procedures on another day. Everyone I came into contact with that day was very kind and caring to someone like me who gets anxious about hospital visits and needles. I would highly recommend Fiona and luckily I did not need any further tests or treatment.

Dr Fiona Tsang-wright could not have been more caring, understanding “ very normal”, putting me immediately at ease! Having discovered a breast lump a few days before my holiday, I needed to know if I should be concerned. Fiona and her fabulous team were thorough and incredibly reassuring!!! I’m definitely keeping her details should I be unfortunate enough to need them in future. Thank you to you and your team. !!!

I don’t think I could have asked for a better surgeon. Fiona explained everything in detail, even drawing easy to understand diagrams. I felt totally comfortable and confident in her care. I recovered well after surgery and the scar was a very neat line - it was so well done. I have nothing but praise for Fiona - she was brilliant!

Profile

Fiona is a Consultant Breast and Reconstructive surgeon at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust as well as in senior management as the Trust Cancer Clinical Lead. She is a committee member for the Association of Breast Surgery.

She has an expertise in managing breast diseases and breast cancer. All her clinics are set up with the best patient experience in mind: she will examine the patient and then arrange for imaging to be done at the same appointment (One-Stop Clinic) as she believes that this enables her to reassure her patients as quickly as possible, and reduce the anxiety of waiting for tests. Her feedback is positive and she is proud that she can make the experience of attending her clinic as pleasant and straight-forward as possible.

Fiona is involved in all aspects of a patient's treatment, and particularly in the management of breast cancer in younger women. She uses refined oncoplastic techniques to give women the increased possibility of conserving their natural breast or for those needing a mastectomy, she is an expert in immediate breast reconstructions using an implant to create a natural breast shape. She also liaises closely with consultant plastic surgeons for autologous reconstructions such as DIEP / LD.

Fiona has worked in different healthcare systems around the world and uses the experience gained in Singapore, Hong Kong and Dubai for the management of her patients in the UK. She has a demonstrable record in medical management at national, regional and local levels.

Fiona is dedicated to medical education and mentorship. She sits on the Oxford Regional Higher Surgery Training panel, is a final year examiner at the University of Oxford, an Associate Professor at the St George's University in Grenada, and teaches students from Oxford University and the University of Buckingham.

Fiona is a caring and empathetic breast surgeon who is keen to tailor and individualise the treatment of breast cancer to each of her patients.
