I have prostate cancer and after 3 1/2 years also have Urological problems. I was referred to Urology for tests and unfortunately these were incomplete and had to be repeated. I then saw Mr Turk on 26 July 2023 - he apologised for the mishap and then gave me a most thorough consultation listening to all my issues empathetically. He gave me treatment options together with his recommendation. His letter very soon after was detailed and comprehensive. I feel confident to make my treatment decision after such a thorough consultation and letter. Note I was seen at Ulverston Health Centre which is not a listed opton below

I was treated with care and respect, everything about the tests undertaken were discussed both before and after. Mr Turk discussed the results and identified the changes I could make and possible medication from my GP. I have nothing but praise for my treatment during these test from all in Lancaster and Kendal Hospitals. Unfortunately and frustratingly this was not followed up by my GP, I have not had the opportunity to discuss some points with them.

After a long wait (due to the COVID backlog) I saw Mr Turk in Outpatients at Westmorland General. The appointment took place on time with a thorough history taking and physical examination by Mr Turk who listened and was clear about next steps. An unhurried, confidence-building appointment with follow-up investigation arranged promptly and a copy of the letter to my GP received.
