It is difficult to make a fair assessment of orthopaedic team as I worked alongside them for many years. My nursing experience however allows to recognise good quality care when I see it. As a mother of a young patient undergoing knee surgery I felt involved and supported through out the process. The communication with Mr Clifton's team has been maintained through out the process. and Mr Clifton remains approachable to this day.

I can't thank Mr Clifton enough he is an excellent surgeon. He has a pleasant manner and is easy to talk to. His experience and knowledge are evident in the way he explains the procedure and any risks in detail. After only 15 weeks I can walk without discomfort and am now on his list to have a total knee replacement on my other knee.

Mr Clifton made me feel totally at ease when I had my initial consultation, having been made aware that a close family member had not survived the same procedure some years before, in a different hospital. His bedside manner was impeccable, and was very approachable and answered all my questions and concerns. My recovery from the operation was very easy, and I was soon back on my feet. Less than a year after, I have hardly any scar, and have full mobility. I would not hesitate to recommend Mr Clifton to anyone who may need to undergo this procedure. he is an absolute credit to the NHS and PCH.
