I saw Mr Jones for my trigger finger. He was absolutely fantastic. Explained the options and risks clearly and simply. We then had a discussion about what to do next. He injected one and listed me for surgery for the other. Overall just a fantastic consultation and exactly what you want from a specialist.

Absolutely fantastic results, had two trapizectamy carried out by Mr Jones after years of excruciating pain. It may be a clichey but it has transformed my life. The aftercare with his team was superb. A big thanks to all.

Very helpful and he gave me all the information I needed as to what was wrong and offered an operation to correct it, giving me time to make the decision. Very kind.

Having recently broken my finger due to an industrial accident, Dr Jones gave me clear and concise advice on how he wanted to proceed with my injury. His staff looked after me well with a splint which avoided me having to have an operation. With physiotherapy and exercise my hand is almost back to normal and I have resumed my duties at work. I would like to thank Dr Jones and his staff for looking after me with great care and attention. His staff are a credit to him and are truly unsung heroes.

Well, what can I say about Mr Jonathan Jones? I first saw him in July 2017 in his outpatients clinic at Stamford with a long-standing & rather complex problem with my left hand. I underwent x-rays, ultrasound scans, MRI, nerve tests, saw a neurological consultant, had a group meeting with other hand specialists & he was always very nice, explaining results thoroughly. In August 2018 he decided he would operate...this would be my 3rd procedure over a period of more than 5 years. He explained fully the risks involved but because my hand was claw-like & causing me considerable pain & hard to use at all, I agreed to the surgery. This was performed at Peterborough City Hospital on 23rd November 2018. The whole team were fantastic. The anaesthetist who performed the nerve block procedure (cannot remember his name) was calming & caring. The other theatre staff were all so nice too. I had several incisions in the palm, back of my hand & wrist areas & knew it would be a lengthy road to recovery but I honestly cried when I first saw my fingers straight again, albeit very swollen. With the help of physiotherapist Jo R who I saw on several occasions at Stamford Hospital (what a lovely person!), my hand is coming along nicely now & although my fingers are still a little stiff, I am sure in time, I will be able to use my hand properly again. THANK YOU so very much Mr. Jones, for agreeing to operate, believing in me that it was not "supratentorial origin" as I had been told in the past. I will always be very grateful to you & your team.

Response from Mr Jonathan Jones

Thank you for your kind feedback on the care received by the multidisciplinary team at Peterborough City Hospital. I will ensure the Surgical Team, the Anaesthetist, Ward staff and the and hand therapist receive a copy of this. I am delighted that the Orthoplastic Hand Service was able to meet your expectations and wish you well with your further recovery.
