Options and risks were explained at initial consultation; after mulling over for a couple of days I decided to proceed with both eyes on basis on no longer requiring glasses for long distance. Procedure was quick, no pain afterwards, good chats with other patients and gained the anticipated outcome within 2 days; by obtaining some cheap reading glasses was back at computer screen for work within 48 hours. Check up 10 days after 1st eye procedure was all positive so proceeded with 2nd eye and that had an equally good outcome

I have just returned from seeing my usual Optician to order a pair of reading glasses following my cataract operation a month ago and I am pleased to say that my Optician told me I'd had a brilliant result from my operation and that the surgeon, Mr Paul Ursell had done an excellent job. As far as the operation itself was concerned, Mr Ursell put me at ease the whole way through and the procedure itself was quick and painless. I just wish I'd had it done years ago especially as it seems to have improved my golf - i can now see where the balls land and I can judge the putting distances so much better. I can't thank Paul enough for his care and expertise.

Mr Paul Ursell was recommended to me by various friends who had experienced cataract surgery. At the initial consultation all available options were explained to me, covering the pros and cons of the different lens, and the potential rare risks. I felt that Mr Ursell listened to my choices from the outset, my preference for having both eyes operated on at the same time and opting for the multi-focal implants. The surgery was straightforward and the immediate results were, and still are outstanding. Highly recommended.
