20th April 2015

I saw Mr Jacobs regarding an ongoing problem with my ankle which was injured many years previously. He was welcoming and listened to the concerns I have regarding it`s long term management. Mr Jacobs informed me of a procedure he could offer me. As it was a procedure I had not heard of before he explained it well and has not rushed me in to making a decision.

I was admitted as a day case for an operation on my foot. Prior to my operation Mr Jacobs very courteously introduced himself to me and took the time to explain the procedure he would be performing that day. After my operation and whilst recovering in the Day Care Ward Mr Jacobs continued the process of care by informing me personally how the operation went and to answer any questions/concerns I may have. I found the whole process from my first consultation to the follow up post op appointment, excellent. The whole process and every NHS staff member I encountered from Receptionists, Ward Nurses, Theatre Team, Anaesthetist were first class, kind, considerate and efficient. I was very impressed. A resounding "well done" and "thank you" to all.

I was seen by Mr Jacobs on 10th March at the Royal South Hants. He introduced himself immediately and put me at my ease. He looked at my x-rays and explained them to me allowing me time to ask questions. He explained how I could expect to progress and let me know whether or not I would be needing another appointment. Mr Jacobs showed that he had a kind and caring nature.

This was my first visit to Mr Jacobs to review the progress of my right ankle fracture after 10weeks. The x-ray was efficiently organised by the staff close to my appointment time and there was only a short wait before Mr Jacobs examined the ankle and checked for residual pain and range of movement. We discussed further rehabilitation and he proposed possible physiotherapy and progressive reestablishment of running exercise. This concluded my formal treatment I found the examination and consultation very satisfactory with sympathetic understanding and a very efficient department

Excellent Doctor in all ways, Explained things clearly and in a very caring manner. I consider myself extremely fortunate to have been under this Doctors care, and would have no hesitation in recommending him at all. A very very professional Doctor and a credit to his profession.
