New Hall is an excellent hospital Ive been consulted and treated at on a few occasions now. Care, service and professionalism of staff is always excellent
The staff were absolutely fantastic. They could not do enough for me. They were professional and so very friendly. I would recommend New Hall to anyone.
I would not recommend New Hall. I made an appointment with Abigail Kingston three weeks beforehand. I made it directly on the New Hall website and received an email from them telling me the appointment was confirmed. I have been very unwell and was really hopeful that this appointment would be a positive step to getting good treatment. When I arrived for the appointment the receptionist told me they had no record of the appointment. I showed them the confirmation email that they had sent three weeks prior and they just told me there was nothing they could do. Despite it being their system that had been in error, there was no effort made for reparations. They just shrugged their shoulders and sent me away. So they have lost a paying customer here as after that experience I have no intention of putting my care in their hands. Overall, I was extremely disappointed with the lack of professionalism and poor customer service. At one point the receptionist leaned over and whispered to me that ‘this would never happen in the NHS’. Aren’t we going to private healthcare to get better care!?
Every single person involved in my care, both at the time of my operation and in my recovery period at home, has been totally sympathetic and understanding, and not just the medical tam, but the catering staff and the Manager who brought me a bowl of fruit when I remarked that I was missing my daily fresh fruit - amazing!
The follow-up to my surgery was a case in point: I had severe pain, then an infection in my wound. The nursing staff checked on me regularly by phone, and called me back if they were concerned.
Finally, the physio team got me back on my feet, again with sympathy and understanding - and occasional firmness!
Thank you New Hall!
I was looked after through the whole procedure , great Doctors and Nurses who looked after me Thank You
All the staff were polite and helpful and nothing seemed too much trouble. Clean and modern facilities. Highly recommend.
After a long wait all of my own doing,i had my operation under the care of Mr Davis on
17th February 2025.Iam a person who will tell how it is good or bad.
Everyone there from dinner man to Mr Davis treated me with respect and this countiued right up until i left.
So thank you must go to the ladies who deal with Mr Davis list, you all had the hard task to re book all the oprations due to a massive lightning strike had shut it all down,I admit i was one of those people phoneing to see if a new date for me was ready, when the lady explained to me she had 7 consultants who were to operate that day but the lightning had done its worse,i am a bit angry with myself that i had not thought of the others who like me were sent home.
You were all amazingand i can,t thank you enough.
my new date was the 17th,and i cannot fault anyone or anything what a bunch of amazing people. So Thank you.
And so you know i was a N.H.S patient but did.t once feel like it.
I do have one gripe get bigger tea cups lol.And the food especially the poriage was lovely. So if your looking at new hall as a place for your surgery what are you waiting for.
Julie Nash,
I recently had to receive an MRI to scan my injured leg. I found the experience at New Hall poor driven by 2 things. The initial call I had with a woman to complete a safety questionnaire was unclear and delivered in an abrupt tone. On the morning of the MRI, the same woman was unfriendly and repeated the questionnaire again in a fairly rude tone. I struggled through the MRI due to extreme pain in my leg and when attempting to stand up I did not feel well. The woman did not offer any help or look concerned. Such a disappointing experience in a private hospital especially. I was vulnerable and she could not be bothered to help.
Well what a morning on the 27th January 2025.
Sitting waiting for my operation talking to a nurse when what sounded like an explotion hit the building ,ive never heard Thunder like it ever, the nurse ducked i screamed, the nurse made sure everyone was ok,i did think ohhh dear this does not look good.
10 mins after in walks MR Davis with that look that was going to give you bad news, yep the Theatres are out of action no kind off internet all taken out.
T he nurse came in told me what was happing, obviousy i was upset,i had put my poor husband in a care place, all the normal things you panic about, but do you know what the nurses, the admin staff got it they understood me reasured me i would be priorty for my oparation,But as i said to them this could have been alot worse,no one is hurt and that is the most important thing,
So a big thank to everyone nurses, hcc, admin, reception, you stayed calm and professional thru out,and hopefully no lasting damage, except for that nurses nerves,
good luck with putting all back together again.

I had a knee replacement 7th December 2024. Mr Cox was my surgeon. From start to finish including pre op and post op appointments I was totally pleased with everything. Staff attentive and very caring. My surgery was a success and was able to bend my knee properly 4 weeks after . New Hall in my opinion one of the best hospitals. Clean, very well run and communication was amazing. Would recommend here to anyone. Thaankyou.
