I was extremely pleased with the treatment I received both from Mr Faisal and the support staff. He explained the procedure in detail and advised me about the way forward (the decision to proceed was always mine) and the same can be said about the anaesthetist. I underwent full knee replacement surgery which went without a hitch and the staff at the Meriden were very helpful and supportive and I am delighted to say that my recovery is going very well indeed. I cannot thank all those who have been and are involved in my treatment enough and should(?) I need surgery on the other knee I shall certainly want the same team to look after me. When i first met Mr Faisal i was taken back by the sheer calmness, understanding and his professionalism. I had been suffering with hip problems caused by arthritis for many years. I am 54 years of age and was worried about the operation. Mr Faisal talked to me about the Super Path Hip Replacement procedure which put me so much at ease, as being in a job where i am active at all times, i needed a quick recovery. Mr Faisal told me that he had not done the Super Path Hip Replacement at the BMI Meridan before, and i was so happy to be his first patient here, even though he had preformed the procedure many times. After the surgery while in hospital i was very looked well after with daily visits for Mr Faisal. My recovery has been amazing a scar of 4 inches for such a huge removal of a hip and to replace with a new one. My consultation visits after again showed Mr Faisal very understanding, thourough and never rushed the consultation time. I would definitely recommend Mr Faisal for any procedures like mine . I had a total knee replacement in January performed by Mr Faisal,and the difference it has made is amazing.I have had problems for years and had always put off seeking treatment as it was bearable, but last year I started to have more trouble walking and as a keen golfer I could not play without using a buggy.From the initial consultation until my sign off, Mr Faisal was absolutely brilliant, informative, caring, making sure I knew the part I had to play in making the operation a success.I can now play two rounds of golf in a day walking with no problems. My scar is almost invisible, I am one happy man. I must mention that I had my operation at BMI,the Meriden hospital in Coventry and the care I received there was also first class. Replacement knee operation, Mr Faisal is the man. Michael Johnson
