Dr. Wanis was calm, efficient and thorough. He listened carefully to what I had to say before examining me. He was very clear in his diagnosis and I left feeling reassured. I honestly cannot think of anything he might have done differently.

I was seen at the Princess Royal Hospital, Haywards Heath (option not available in selections below). Although this appointment has taken a long time to come through (almost a year), when I did see someone, the doctor was very polite and personable, and he had taken the trouble to acquaint himself with my history. He was of the opinion that the urology problem was as a result of the surgery in late 2019, and was pleased that it had got gradually better over 2020. Perhaps he should have looked at the urology flow tests and questionnaire I had completed before I came though. It was almost as if he did not know I had done those. Is this not standard with this problem? He had a few suggestions for ongoing care, so overall I was very pleased with everything.

My name is Mr Buyungo: Ward-Based Nurse Practitioner I have had pleasure to work along side Mr Wanis. On various occasions Mr Wanis has demonstrated leadership and good communication skills both with patients and colleagues. He is good at troubleshooting under pressure and has good technical skills As a nurse practitioner Mr Wanis enhanced my confidence in managing urological cases as he gave me opportunities to independently review patients and discuss both clinical findings and managing plans am honestly glad he joined our team for his rotation.

Michael Wanis is a great urology registrar! He is very friendly and supportive, and constantly taught us juniors at every opportunity he got, both on the ward and in theatre. I particularly love his enthusiasm for urology, which is very refreshing and uplifting for all of us in the urology team. I felt I could easily seek Michael for advice if I was worried about any aspect of the day-to day job or had any queries about the management of a patient. Michael is also a very caring and compassionate doctor to his patients, and he often goes above and beyond his role as a registrar. It was a pleasure working with him!
