I was referred to Mr Longstaff for a total hip replacement operation.I was seen by him very quickly and after being put on his list at the Spire Hospital Washington, I was surprised at how quickly it was dealt with. I found Mr Longstaff to be very pleasant and cheerful, and the operation was faultless. I would be happy to recommend his work to anyone else needing hip replacement.

After suffering with severe osteoarthritis in my left knee I had a consultation with Mr Longstaff he discussed all the pros & cons of having a total knee replacement and I felt confident in Mr longstaff ability to improve my mobility. It is now 6 weeks since my knee replacement and I am now fit and mobile after months of pain. I cannot thank Mr Longstaff enough for the improvement in my mobility. Peter Cassidy

I am updating my review on 11th September 2015 following my first hip replacement in March 2015 with Mr Lee Longstaff as my surgeon. I was offered a further hip replacement on 13th October 2015 and I was totally confident to go ahead with this based upon such a positive experience. Six months along the line I can only say that that again my recovery has been fantastic and I am back to the person I was before osteoarthritis took it's toll. I can't thank Mr Longstaff and his team enough for changing my life. Norma Appleby

Mr Longstaff has a professional but friendly manner. At each stage from the initial pre-op interview to my final assessment he has offered clear explanations of what was involved and been open to any questions. Technically everything seems to have been excellent - clean wound and good recovery. I am writing this seven weeks after a hip replacement. I would certainly recommend Mr Longstaff and the supporting team at Spire Hospital, Washington to friends and I would go back to him for a second hip replacement if I found myself in similar circumstances.
