I have been under Mr Purushothaman’s care for several years and have always been treated with kindness and compassion. Having had several steroid injections over the years on my spine and after symptoms had worsened, I finally went under the knife. Mr Purushothaman took the time to explain what was involved and allowed me to ask questions if necessary. The care I received from, not just Mr Purushothaman but all the staff at the Spire Hospital in Washington was amazing. Although my symptoms have not completely gone away, 6 weeks post surgery, I have felt the best I have in nearly 2 years and I am extremely grateful to Mr Purushothaman for everything he has done.

Dr Bala has an easy, pleasant manor about him. He operated on me, which I am over the moon to say was a success. Aside: All the staff that I encountered from my own GP (who made the referral) to all the ward staff at Sunderland Royal were all top drawer.

Dr purushothaman is an amazing doctor, the level of care he shows to his patients is unbelievable he has helped me get my life back on track and he has gave my kids there dad back I can’t thank him enough for the help he has gave me.
