Mr. Arambage is a world-class surgeon based in Oxford. It is strange to owe so much to someone I met for less than three hours: one hour for triage, and less than two for the hysterectomy itself. After suffering for years from adenomyosis and endometriosis, two days after the surgery I was almost completely pain-free – I didn’t even need a single Nurofen. My deepest gratitude to Arambage and his skilful surgical team.

I had excellent care, in all respects, from Mr Arambage starting with the outpatient consultation, surgery and a follow up. I had minimal pain recovering from the procedure and needed to use just Paracetamol for three days to manage postoperative pain. I am very happy with the outcome. His secretary Fiona is also very professional and approachable.

From the first video call to discuss my current situation through to examination scans and surgery, Dr Arambage was completely professional, reassuring and made sure I understood my options and everything that was happening. He went out of his way to call me when I was worried a week before the surgery and explained everything that would happen and totally reassured me that all would be ok, so I proceeded with the surgery, I am only a week post op but the daily pains I had before the surgery have instantly gone, this is going to give me a new lease of life and means that i can sleep at night comfortably!! The care at The Manor hospital was also fantastic, all the nurses went out their way to help me, especially when I ended up having to stay in overnight and looked after me all night when I was unwell, not too scared to wipe sick from my face and racing in to help me, I didn't feel embarrassed at all considering the state you feel in after surgery being unable to do things yourself, changing pads and sick bowls you feel so unglamorous but the nurses felt more like friends helping you and that nothing was too much trouble. Mr Arambage also came to see me after the surgery and then called the next day, as well as booking in a post op followup in a few weeks time. His secretary Fiona is also very fast to respond and help with any questions you may have. Overall I would say a very positive, reassuring experience and I am so glad I proceeded with the surgery to be pain free.
