From the first video call to discuss my current situation through to examination scans and surgery, Dr Arambage was completely professional, reassuring and made sure I understood my options and everything that was happening. He went out of his way to call me when I was worried a week before the surgery and explained everything that would happen and totally reassured me that all would be ok, so I proceeded with the surgery, I am only a week post op but the daily pains I had before the surgery have instantly gone, this is going to give me a new lease of life and means that i can sleep at night comfortably!! The care at The Manor hospital was also fantastic, all the nurses went out their way to help me, especially when I ended up having to stay in overnight and looked after me all night when I was unwell, not too scared to wipe sick from my face and racing in to help me, I didn't feel embarrassed at all considering the state you feel in after surgery being unable to do things yourself, changing pads and sick bowls you feel so unglamorous but the nurses felt more like friends helping you and that nothing was too much trouble. Mr Arambage also came to see me after the surgery and then called the next day, as well as booking in a post op followup in a few weeks time. His secretary Fiona is also very fast to respond and help with any questions you may have. Overall I would say a very positive, reassuring experience and I am so glad I proceeded with the surgery to be pain free.

It was my first time to see an OB-Gyne in UK and at first I’m not comfortable as Mr Kirana is not a female Doctor. Good thing, Mr Kirana didn’t give up on me and offered me options on how I would like to be treated. Eventually, I fully trusted Mr Kirana and feel a lot more comfortable. I have 4 fibroids and one of them was quite big (13cm). I also have adenomyosis and endometriosis. It caused me to bleed heavily for years making my life challenging as my I suffer with severe iron deficiency anemia and low hemoglobin. I need to have iron infusions frequently and blood tranfusion. Mr Kirana told me that he will remove my fibroids and he might open my CS scar to take the fibroids most specially the big one. But Mr Kirana did his best not to cut me open and done the procedure successfully by keyholes. I greatly appreciate how Mr Kirana handled my operation and did his best to remove my fibroids and insert Mirena to prevent me from bleeding again. Mr Kirana maintained professionalism and always looking after me. During the time that I need an iron infusion before my scheduled operation, he went personally to the Hospital to prescribed my IV iron and encouraged the Pharmacists to get my meds as early as they could so I will have the infusion and I will be ready for the operation. He explained very well what happened to my procedure and the pictures he took during laparoscopy. Having said all of these, I will highly recommend him to other patients who are looking for a professional, compassionate and caring Doctor. Thank you so much Doctor for restoring my body to almost normal functioning. May God always bless you so could help and save more patients in need.
