Firstly I would like to say how sad I am to leave this review but I feel it’s important. I underwent surgery with Mr Dawson as a young man only just entering his 20s. He was very nice and I cannot doubt that he genuinely cares, all risks of the surgery were seemingly discussed. However, following the surgery I was left with a look that has severely stopped me as a young man from enjoying the lifestyle that every young man around me, especially at uni, can enjoy. It was, as I have come to understand, a routine surgery and should not have resulted in the look I received BUT the look I am still struggling with years later that has caused severe depression has resulted from his poor advice post-op. It was not a complication from the surgery itself, but rather very poor advice post-surgery which could easily have been avoided. As a result I have had to see leading surgeons in London and have already had 2 operations since Mr Dawson to try and improve the aftermath (although a great look will now never be truly possible as a result of the damage done after the original op). I want to make this next part VERY CLEAR: I knew what I was paying for and was fully prepared to accept the risks discussed with Mr Dawson BUT considering the depressing result was NOT one of those discussed risks and is PURELY a product of his very poor post-op advice to a young man, it honestly makes me feel sick that we paid thousands to someone who’s caused this, money that we will not get back and is being added to as we have to spend thousand MORE to correct his work with another surgeon. I can’t imagine what my life would be like had I been given the correct advice, but I’m working every day and believing that with the help of my current surgeon we can get as close as possible to a look that should’ve been achieved comfortably years ago. I’m not trying to discourage people from Mr Dawson I just want to say to anyone considering surgery: find the best surgeon in the country for your issue and at least get their advice before committing to any surgeon. Do your research and don’t stop when you think you’ve done enough of it. Spend the extra money for an elite surgeon... travel to London or wherever has THE ‘prestigious reputation’ ... do what it takes. And finally, if a surgeon says you’re fine to live your life normally after a certain amount of time please just bear in mind that Mr Dawson told me that I was fine to move freely again before 2 months after my op, whereas the surgeon in London has informed me that 9 months is the minimum for a safe result. That advice would’ve spared me years of depression that is still ongoing into my late 20s.

I saw Mr Dawson in March 2020 0on a 2 week referral from my GP after she found a lump on examination. I saw Mr Dawson firstly at the Three Shires Northampton and then the Genesis clinic in Milton Keynes, where a mammogram, CT scan and biopsy were all carried out in one visit. Mr Dawson was very professional, kind and caring and so too were all the staff even though they were working in challenging circumstances. Mr Dawson then contacted me by phone and thankfully my biopsy result was a good result and no further treatment was needed.

I found Mr Dawson very respectful, patient and kind. He is very knowledgable and happy to share his knowledge. I apriciated the time spent talking to me and explaining things. His ability as a surgeon is also outstanding I had a mastectomy with reconstruction and an implant During the same operation. I have been amazed at the results from day one and it continues to look better every day. Having consistency was also very helpful. To be able to speak to the same doctor who you feel knows you is more reassuring. I understand it may not always be possible but it really does make a difference.

I was referred to see Mr Dawson on the Two Week Fast track Breast Screening after discovering a Breast lump. From initial consultation, through to tests and review of results, I felt that I was treated with care, understanding and respect. At every point of the process I felt comfortable, at ease and never rushed. Everything was explained to me and I was given plenty of time to ask any questions.

Recently I had a scare, finding a breast lump. My mother had died of cancer and I was terrified. Mr Dawson's secretary accommodated me at short notice to fit me in to Mr Dawson's clinic. The whole team were superb; prompt, efficient and genuinely caring. I could not have asked for better service with expert advice and treatment. Mr Dawson took a lot of time explaining and asking my many questions. The surgery itself was almost painless and I have a brilliant scar. It made the whole distressing process so much better than it could have been. Amazing! Thank you so much!
