Dr Prabir Chakraborti

Dr Chakraborti has a very pleasant and caring manner. He took the time to explain how our discussions were going to proceed so that I knew what to expect. He went over the background of my condition in excellent detail and in a non medical manner to ensure that he and I had the same understanding, which we did. He put me at ease and then talked me though the treatment options and listened to my concerns. He made it clear that he would take all the time required for me and that I did not need to rush. He went over the treatment options several times until he was happy that I understood them fully. He obviously understands that cancer patients are in a state of stress and that they don't necessarily take everything in at the first attempt, which is excellent. I was there for longer than I expected, which was a very pleasant surprise. My wife and I left feeling reassured, fully understanding and agreeing with my treatment plan and altogether happier than when we arrived. I can't think of any significant way in which he could improve. Thank you.

To me the thing I have appreciated most about Dr. Chakraborti has been his understanding of my position. He takes the time to talk to me, explaining the treatments, the options and what I can expect. Even when I ask the same question over again it doesn't seem to phase him. I remember him saying to me during one consultation "you're worth it". That struck home with me and I think it sums up how I have felt whilst in his care. He believes I am worth it. Having that support from Dr. Chakraborti has certainly helped me on this journey.

Dr Chakraborti has been my consultant for nearly 7 years and has always been amazing and insightful with his knowledge and finding the best solution for my illness. Prabir has always listened to my concerns and has helped me fight Cancer for many a year. He is very easy to talk to and genuinely cares. I cannot recommend him highly enough for his work

Dr Chakraborti has made a very difficult journey a lot easier. He is clear and concise and provides as much detail as you want him too. He is a great people person and can gage a room. Even when things are not always positive, his knowledge and care leaves you understanding the options you have. We cannot thank him enough for the support he has provided my husband and family since diagnosis in December 2021. We fully trust his decisions and know we are in the best hands available. The only thing we would suggest to support Dr Chakraborti is that he has someone to support with the admin side of his role so he can physically see more patients and improve their cancer journeys.

Dr Chakraborti made me feel comfortable in such a stressful and upsetting time. He always listened to me and very compassionately talked me through my treatment plan when I was diagnosed with cancer. He gave me the best treatment which I had a complete response to - and I will forever be grateful to him for that. He’s extremely knowledgable in his field and I feel very fortunate to have him as my oncologist
