I had an ACL reconstruction from Mr. Bell. Overall I was pleased with the consultations before and after and the surgery seemed fine. A year later I have one or two slight niggles with my knee and Mr. Bell has offered further investigation which I will consider though I think Mr. Bell did the best job he could. He listens well and explains things in layman's terms and I had/have full faith in his skills. All I'd say is that he needs to encourage his secretary to be better organised. I've had some problems with her regarding an appointment that I thought had been booked only to discover later that it hadn't been.

I saw Mr. Jonathan Bell for the first time this past week. He was extremely patient and extremely professional. He took the time to understand the history of my knee (I had a previous injury and surgery on the same knee 12 years back and now had injured it again). He then examined me and looked through the MRI images with me. He took the time to explain what he saw on the MRI and all of it made sense. I had seen one Orthopedic surgeon 2 weeks back that had been very ready to move straight to surgery on my ACL despite no clear indication on the MRI that it was torn! I felt much more reassured by Mr. Jonathan Bell's assessment. After looking through the scans, listening to my history and examining my knee he recommended that we try to avoid being invasive if possible and rehabilitate the knee first. I am now going for physiotherapy and going back to see him in a couple weeks. I greatly appreciate his approach not to jump to surgery as the first solution, and his assessment seemed very well thought through and reason based. I would recommend him to anyone for his professionalism and patient approach. No wonder he has such great reviews!

Dr Bell has so far been fantastic, from his analysis of the problem, his attitude and all that. His assistant is very impatient though, one cannot separate her from the overall experience of dealing with the doctor and contrary to Dr Bell she is not patient at all, she is very short and abrupt and when one is dealing with a possible surgery it is understandable that one has questions, well it seems she couldn't care less and she clearly isn't there to listen to you. I could definitely use someone with a little more human touch on the other side of the phone I have to say.

I had an initial consultation with Mr Bell of The Wimbledon Clinic concerning a Meniscal tear to my left knee. Mr Bell explained the injury and talked me through the prognosis whilst being very positive with regard to the outcome. The minor operation took place at Parkside Hospital and I was surprised at my completely painless mobility hours afterwards. I was walking normally the next day, climbing stairs effortlessly and inside two weeks I was comfortably walking five miles in Richmond Park. The Physio was impressed with the result and commented on my range of movement. Mr Bell is extremely personable and quite obviously at the top of his game. Patients tend to have a natural level of concern regarding operations and yet Mr Bell imbues confidence and calm, both terrific attributes in this situation! The operation, the day room at Parkside and the nursing were all seamless and I have no hesitation in fully recommending him.
