Richard Sinnerton, shoulder surgeon, fixed my shoulder back to 100%. As a yoga teacher I am very happy about this!! His website is a font of information. His secretary is super organised. I’ve never seen such efficiency - if he and his secretary were in charge of the NHS, it would be as it should be. Thanks doc!

Mr Sinnerton initially reviewed me, as a previous AC joint stabilisation surgery by another surgeon had failed. I was reassured by Mr Sinnerton that he would be able to fix the previous repair by completely replacing it with a different system (hookplate). To complicate matters, on commencing the procedure, more damage than originally anticipated was discovered. The collar bone was badly damaged. Not only was Mr Sinnerton able to tidy away the broken bits of bone, but also installed the hookplate as planned, even with less bone to work with. The plate was removed as planned six months or so later, all went exactly as planned. Mr Sinnerton, has a great bedside manner, and a great sense of humour. He is able to immediately put you at ease. He explains exactly the procedure and timings/effects thereof in a highly informative and understandable manner. Mr Sinnerton has the upmost professionalism at every touchpoint. Many thanks Richard. (My wife says "we love Mr Sinnerton")

I can’t speak highly enough of Mr Sinnerton. My experience of being one of his patients was profoundly positive. He’s a no fuss, straight-talking consultant who made me laugh (even when I was wincing with pain from a snapped collarbone). Throughout my treatment with him, I felt well looked after and confident in his care. I was also thoroughly grateful for his fast message responses, even out-of-hours, to any questions I had. This included the first time I contacted him through Twitter while in distress after breaking my collarbone at a weekend. I sent him photos of my X-rays and he promptly arranged for his lovely secretary, Wendy, to call me and book me in for an appointment as soon as possible. I’m happy to say Mr Sinnerton re-positioned my broken collarbone in an operation using a metal plate and screws. He then removed the metalwork six months later in a second operation. On both occasions, his needlework was superb and my scar is barely noticeable.

I fell and unfortunately fractured the proximal humerus in my left shoulder. After my initial A a E Appointment I consulted Mr.Sinnerton , he was recommended by a colleague at Wimbledon Clinics. I was very impressed by his sympathetic and professional approach , Mr. Sinnerton explained the details of my injury and the treatment options in a clear and accessible way, he explained the likely outcome and recovery realistically. Mr. Sinnerton listened to my concerns about having an operation with patience and respect, he outlined the options, he agreed we could review the situation in a weeks time. Fortunately it transpired that I did not require surgery. I felt I had been provided with the relevant information I was reassured and felt confident after each of my consultations. Mr Sinnerton referred me to Hydrotherapy and Physiotherapy which I chose to undertake at Wimbledon Clinics, the therapists are excellent. I would recommend Mr Sinnerton without hesitation, he is a highly qualified surgeon he is approachable , professional and sympathetic and has a sense of humour.

Richard Sinnerton is an absolute credit to the medical profession. He defies all the stereotypes associated with (private sector) surgeons. Genuinely likeable, he cares and makes it clear he wants to help you get better. More importantly a fantastic and professional surgeon from diagnosis to surgery to after care. He spoke in language I understood, explained everything and all with a smile and a sense of humour. Not once was he stuffy or superior and perhaps most importantly of all he solved my shoulder problem that had been troubling me for years. Cannot recommend him highly enough and feel so very lucky to have been referred to him.

I saw Richard at beginning of the year, for a trauma on my shoulder as recommended by a former patient of his , who was a total stranger to me whom I met in my gym , and she lived in SA! . Had an MRI , no breaks no tendon tears just pain. I then had physio all going well and then ..My shoulder then froze (because if it is going to freeze it will freeze , you cant stop it) Richard then operated on it on 25th May. I could carry on any longer. To be where I am today, from 24/7 pain and sleeping 90 minutes a night while trying to continue to function , to 95% movement still a little bit to do, sleeping , doing everyday things and nearly zero pain to where I was in May is noting short of a miracle - The man is a genius!! Everything he said would happen ,.. happened Everything he said he would do ...he did. Where he said I would be today ...I am. My follow up care was superb, He has the most amazing team and I will be forever grateful to Richard, Don , Wendy and the guys at Nuffield Woking and Princess Margaret Windsor. Yes I am a total fan of Mr Sinnerton, I call him Richard:)and absolutely recommend him He is professional, directl to the point , with humour added in, and you cannot but have the utnmost confidence in him. Thank you Mr Sinnerton ..I salute you!!

I had been experiencing great pain in my elbow for months and a succession of doctors were of little to no help. Mr Sinnerton immediately diagnosed the problem and we discussed what options were available. I found him very easy to talk to and relaxed, whilst also confident and assured in his abilities. The operation (bursa cleanout) went very well and he was excellent at reassuring me beforehand. The wound has healed really well and there will be a minimal scar that looks very neat. He has fixed the elbow pain completely and I wouldnt hesitate to recommend him and his work.

A surgeon who came straight to the point and did an excellent job on my shoulder. I am experiencing after 4 months lack of pain and extensive movement not expected for another 2 months. All the staff at Ashtead hospital were very helpful and charming so I would highly recommend them.

As an NHS patient I felt a little uncomfortable at my first appointment to be seeing a Consultant at a private hospital. My concerns were quickly dispelled. Mr Sinnerton made me feel at ease. He explained the procedure (carpal tunnel) and on the day of the surgery, again his approach and manner were indicative of a very professional but understanding person. Unfortunately, the first procedure did not entirely cure my problem and Mr Sinnerton went through the next options, explaining the slightly more complex procedure if I elected to have a second operation. I did elect for a second operation, which has proved successful. I would like to add that, for a Consultant at the pinnacle of his profession, he seemed to be a man with no airs of importance but a very down to earth gentleman in a profession he clearly enjoys. Very refreshing. So, thank you Mr. Sinnerton.

Having suffered with rotator cuff tendonitis for 8 months and 4 months of physio I finally saw Mr Sinnerton. He sent me for an ultrasound scan and cortisone injection. The pain disappeared within 2 days and 6 weeks later I am back on the tennis court after a break of 10 months. Brilliant.
