Mr Geoghegan is a very approachable surgeon. He patiently answered all my questions (I take a very active interest in what surgeons do when they poke around inside my body) both before and after the operation. The results of the operation have been fabulous. I now have zero joint pain and my scar is healing beautifully. All the discomfort I now feel is soft tissue surrounding the joint and I know that will resolve itself with time throughout my rehabilitation with the physio and work in the the gym. Commendations go to the Spire Hospital with whom I had a very high level of care. I will need my left shoulder replaced later this year (hopefully I get that far) and Mr Geoghegan is the only guy I want doing it - I think that is testament in itself.

Mr Geoghegan provided a very professional service. Not only did he repair my shoulder, he listened completely to my needs and always explained everything in non medical terms allowing me to understand what I had injured, how he was going to repair it and what I could expect once repaired. I wouldn't hesitate in seeing Mr Geoghegan in the future should I require his professional help. I can't thank Mr Geoghegan and his team enough for giving me the use of my arm back. Thank you.

This Doctor was very friendly and kind. I had shoulder surgery in November 2021 following a fall at home. I am a recently retired nurse and could not fault my care on any level. Today I had my 6 month follow up with him. He actively listened and had good eye contact even whilst using his dicta phone at the end of the consultation. He was able to answer my questions and was reassuring. I am so grateful for the care that he afforded me. He also has a good sense of humour!

Mr Geoghegan gave me confidence from the outset that he wanted the best possible clinical outcome for me. I felt involved in decisions about my care and treatment. The repair has been very effective

Very happy with the whole process from initial consultation to discharge. Mr Geoghegan took time to explain very clearly what I could expect and gave a realistic indication of the recovery process. This was my first experience of private health care and I was very impressed. My only suggestion for how to perhaps improve things would be to maybe provide some of the leaflets about the anaesthesia, pain relief and the follow up physio a little earlier in the process to allow time to study them, but I accept this may not be possible for a number of reasons. Overall, I’m very happy!
