The medical staff were amazing and attended to me with all the care and attention possible. The administration on the other hand was chaotic and high handed. I was moved from location to location losing dedicated physio staff and without any consultation or explanation from the administrators, either with me or the surgical / medical staff, much to their consternation. After considerable pressure I was removed to rehab at Newark. However, as soon as I arrived I was isolated for 5 days and then discharged 2 days later as soon as I could climb stairs. I now have to try and complete my rehabilitation on my own. The NHS definitely needs less non medical staff!!

I noticed the weekend staff were not as professional as the week day staff. At times there seemed a lack of staff. A bed bath tended to be a bit rougher. One Sunday it was 4pm before l was able to clean my teeth and get washed after asking repeatedly. Some of the staff spent a long time talking to each other about their careers and which course to go on next. I just felt they didn’t prioritised the patient. Having said that the vast majority of the staff were superb. I couldn’t fault their professionalism.

After an op on the 17th November 2021 the staff were amazing. Thanks to the neurological team, pre op, theatre staff, wardsD8, ward D10, including the nurses , cleaners, the food team(who made me laugh every day) physiotherapists, the blood people, porters, the X-ray mri team and the discharge team. And anyone I may have forgotten sorry. From Nicola Collyer. Xxx

For my personal neurological disorder (FND), debilitated as my youthful age i look well, yet sensory I become weakened physically and communication at times distort as exhaustion quickly occurs. Adjustments have been tricky, migraines, nerve twitching, loss of peripheral vision, hearing, balance, communication by talking and due to stroke like symptoms. Deregulation of blood pressure, bad circulation and non epilepsy seizures. Which prescription medication thankfully has helped, pain killers prescription medication effect FND and therefore I try other methods; trigger point injections etc. Dr Singhal Sumeet dedicates to supporting that these are given every 5 months latest, therefore my chronic pain can be manageable and consultants able to care for my well being.
