Dear Mr Westbrook, I would like to express my sincere thanks to you for the successful operation you performed, on my open olecranon fracture (right arm) My (in your words) ‘beautiful skin’ is healing well. I was discharged from QMC fracture clinic on 2nd January 2024 & I have had my first physiotherapy treatment at my local (Louth) hospital on Wednesday 10th January. I am truly grateful to you, and can now look forward to getting back to full fitness. My husband Richard, a retired physical educationalist, has recently purchased a ‘Bowflex’ multi gym for us & so we’ll give the cycling a break until the summer Thank you once again, I am truly grateful Janet

I Have had OA for a number of years and had a RTHR back in 2015. My left hip was giving me extreme pain and last December I saw Mr Westbrook in December 2022 who explained how my hip was bone on bone which is why I was in extreme pain. He asked me if I wanted the replacement surgery of which I said 'Oh Yes' as I know it works. He asked me to lose a stone of which I lost more than that and had surgery on the 20th Feb. All I can say is what a caring team from Mr Westbrook to the excellent nurses in the Spire. I am now doing as the doctor / physio tells me including my daily exercises. I am looking forward to getting my life back with not having to live in pain and it's down to this amazing surgeon and his team.

Fantastic surgeon - I underwent total knee replacement 7 days ago, and it could not have gone better in my opinion. Mr Westbrook was not afraid to tell it how it was ( I needed to lose weight!) in the run up to the surgery but he did so with kindness and persuasive explanation. His approach to surgery has meant I’m on the road to recovery much quicker than my previous replacement (other knee), and he has encouraged me to aim for future sporting targets rather than suggest (that dreaded word) retirement, which others have done! I couldn’t have asked for a better surgeon! I highly recommend him if requiring orthopaedic surgery.

This consultant has pinned my brother' thigh. With the looks of it, great. What a shame that the after care, little physio has let the healing process down! My brother has Dementia which makes for difficult treatment. Just wish the NHS after care would underpin the hard work of the consultant.
