My experience of the care and treatment Mr Geoghegan showed me was excellent. Pre op diagnosis was clear and easily understood. During the op Mr Geoghegan and his team explained each stage and answered any questions I asked during the op.. The immediate post op care was excellent and I felt very reassured by the team. How I was to care for myself and what I may experience pain wise was explained. At no point did I feel any questions I asked were a waste of time. My mental and physical well-being I felt was important to the team at all times.

Mr Geoghegan put me at ease from the first appointment I had with him and listened to all my concerns. Throughout surgery he was constantly updating me and assured me that he could fix my issues. His after care appointments are again very high class. I would highly recommend him for consultation and surgery.

Mr Geoghegan has been very kind and explained the reverse shoulder operation in detail, telling me that I should have less pain and much more movement in my arm after the operation. This has certainly been the case after persevering with strengthening exercises. Thanks to his care and advice, a year after my shoulder operation, I am now in far less pain, have got the use of my arm back and can even use my arm behind me - which he warned me I was unlikely to be able to do. I am extremely grateful to his skill as a surgeon.

Mr G has just completed a second total reverse shoulder replacement on me and once again alleviated all my joint pain - thankyou Sir! Clearly, a highly skilled surgeon, he has a friendly bedside manner, listens (such a rare commodity) and is keen to explain in detail if you so wish, (I did) exactly what he has done. I recommend him without hesitation, for all shoulder related interventions. For me, he has improved my quality of life significantly.

I consider Mr Geoghegan’s surgical intervention and clinical care to be excellent. His initial diagnosis was spot on and I was able to watch my operation take place. The whole process was made understandable and goals were set which met my needs. Pain management and management of the healing process was very clearly explained. Follow up reviews were very well handled and the rehabilitation process continues through an excellent Physio service. I have every confidence in his work and would recommend him to others which indeed I have!!
