Mr Warner has done several procedures on my hands. Trigger-finger releases and the more complicated surgery to correct Dupuytren's Contracture, which is when a finger gradually bends backwards towards the palm. He successfully corrected one such contracture nine years ago, but warned me that it was likely to return. It did, nine years later! He explained that, as it was a repeat operation, it might not be possible to achieve a full straightening of the finger. I accepted this and would have been very happy for it to be almost straight.
However, after a lengthy operation under a general anaesthetic he informed me that he'd been able to straighten it completely, and a couple of days ago the physiotherapist signed me off after he decided that it was a complete success.
I've been delighted with every aspect of my treatment, over many years, from Mr Warner, and also from the efficiency and friendly courteousness of Jayne his P.A. They make a great team!
As Well as Me Warner being an extremely competent surgeon he has the confident and caring manner to go along with it, I had hand surgery which has been a success beyond what I thought it could be, I probably wasn’t surprised because I know 3 other people well who have also had this surgery and they all had similar outcomes and the same view of Mr Warner, I would recommend him as a surgeon to anyone, a big thank you to him, I could add the staff under him I.e. nurses and physios provided great service and treatment
Mr Warner listened to my problem with my frozen shoulder ( i could not put my coat on and put my arm behind me)and assessed that the treatment i needed was a Fluoro guided injection in to the left shoulder. This did improve the shoulder and movement with physiotherapy. Unfortunately it is common for people with type 2 diabetes to a require a second procedure which I have had. This sorted the problem so I have no pain and nearly full movement. I need to continue exercises to improve the movement.
Mr Warner is very knowledgeable about his work. He gives a great service to his patients. Always polite. His skills as a surgeon are top notch and I would recommend him if people needed treatment from him.
I have been under the care of Doctor James Warner for the last 6 years having 2 Trapeziectomy’s and 2 surgery’s for Dupuytrens Contracture ,
I couldn’t have wished for a better Doctor , He has a lovely way of making you feel at ease and explains everything thoroughly , I am more than happy with the outcome of my treatment and would highly recommend Doctor James Warner , Along with his practice manager Jane Caldwell they are a class act .
