I would highly recommend Mr Kelly to any patient with an ear, nose or throat problem. My 6 year old son had injured his nose; there was concern it was broken and that it might require fixing! Mr Kelly had an excellent approach with him, myself and my wife. We were all at ease very quickly. My son did not feel shy or timid in the environment he was in and was happily conversing with Mr Kelly. My son did not have any pain when being examined. Reassurance was all that we needed, however he stated we could contact his secretary if we wanted to see him for a further review (this was an offer we did not have to take up). I am extremely pleased with the care and attention given; and I believe you will receive the care you deserve when seeing Mr Kelly.

Response from Mr Gerard Kelly

Thank you for the compliment! One of the most important things (I think) in dealing with children who are patients, is to speak to the patient! First speak to the child (and the adults second), the child is the important person in the room. Even if they are very young, asking them what the problems is let's them know that their voice is heard and that they are here to be heard and helped and, quite often, even when very young, they sum up their symptoms and fears better than anyone! Mr Kelly is kind, considerate and also very amusing. He made me feel at ease straight away but most importantly he really listened to what I had to say and offered me good constructive advice. He has also treated two of my young grand daughters and he was brilliant with them.

Dr Kelly was recommended by a friend who had seen him for treatment of his vertigo. On my visit he was very receptive to my problem and gave sound advice with a feeling that nothing was too much trouble. He explained that my condition could be probable vertiginous migraines and explained that various medications work for different people. He devised a personal care plan with step by step treatment, and reassurance that he could be in contact, via email, if I should require it. I did contact him on a couple of occasions and he returned my questions promptly. I feel that he cares about you as an individual and not just as a statistic. Fully recommend him.

Was absolutely delighted by the car I received from Mr Kelly. Following weeks of unsuccessful GP treatment his prompt intervention restored my hearing instantly. His follow up treatment ensured no reoccurrence. Polite, processional and patient, he explained what he was doing and was necessary clearly and with compassion. Highly recommended!

Have nothing but praise for Mr Kelly. He gave me my life back. I have/had Meniere's disease and had had seven years of total frustration, having seen many consultants before him, constantly being sent away with 'nothing more can be done', lots of different medication and advice but still with the same miserable, life changing disease. I made a private appointment with Mr Kelly, in what I believed was vain hope that he could maybe tell me something that other consultants had not. Mr Kelly discussed my options in great depth, stating it was time I had my life back. Within three months of my first private appointment with him, Mr Kelly had referred me back to the NHS, a Labyrinthectomy was performed and as he promised, I got my life back!!! Not only am I very grateful to Mr Kelly, my family are too. He changed all our lives.
