I saw George last year because of intractable pain and tingling in my leg. He arranged an MRI scan and on the next appointment discussed very clearly and in detail what the problem was and what my options were. I decided as a first option to have a spinal injection which he warned might not be entirely successful but was simple, quick and had every chance of a positive outcome. It unfortunately turned out to be the former. We met again to discuss the next step which was a microdiscectomy which again we discussed and we agreed on. I did ask how many of these he’d done and it was thousands! He talked to me both before the op and immediately after and now, just two months later I am pain free. I would unhesitatingly recommend George to anyone with a serious back problem, he is clearly immensely knowledgable and experienced and in addition really informative in discussion with a great patient-doctor manner, if anything else went wrong with my back he’d be the first person I’d contact!

Saw Mr Spink following MRI showing prolapsed L4/5 disc. Mr Spink fully explained the options and I chose surgery as the most likely long term solution to my problem. Fully informed on the day of surgery as to all processes and options available to me. There was a delay from the previous patient in theater but Mr Spink kept me informed and up to date regularly. I saw Mr Spink immediately post surgery and he informed me in his opinion surgery was a success. I had some immediate movement improvement in pre-surgery symptoms and had feelings back in my foot which I did not have pre-surgery. 8 weeks post surgery I'm now able to do things I've not done for many years. I can even touch my toes!! I found Mr Spink to be very honest and informative of the options available at all times. He has a good bedside manner and a great sense of humour. Hopefully I'll never see him again in a professional setting ;) If you have a problem I'd fully recommend Mr George Spink to you 100% Thanks

Treated by Mr Spink following two years of painful sciatica. I have worked in the clinical front line of the NHS for 38 years and this Consultant has by far the best manner I have ever encountered. He has excellent communication skills; he listens, explains thoroughly the diagnosis, possible treatment, risks and potential outcomes. I underwent a Posterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion. It was wonderful to be relieved of the acute pain and I made a speedy and uneventful recovery. Mr Spink transformed my life and I am truly grateful for his skill.

Mr.Spink Is a Professional who understands your problems and does his best for the patient as I know from two previous laminectomy operations carried out previously and therefore am very happy to see that it is the same consultant that I am seeing this time around as I am once again in need of someone that I can place my trust in,

George Spink has given my wife wonderful care over several years and 3 operations to her spine. We both think the world of him, for his kindness and attentiveness. He has always listened carefully to her problems and has seen her at short notice when she was suffering very badly, and operated with the minimum of delay. He involves us completely in the decision making, explaining carefully the various options, and he gives us confidence. And most importantly the results from his surgery have been very good. Thank you so much George, from us both. You have a full caseload of work and clearly not enough operating lists, which is a big waste, and you deserve better support with this.
