My experience with Mr Leff has been first class. From the moment I met him he has been wonderful. He has explained everything to me every step of the way and in a way that I have been able to understand. Despite it being a very worrying time I have nothing but praise for the care I have received.

Mr Leff is an outstanding surgeon. Compassionate, knowledgable, and at the top of his profession, Mr Leff gave me confidence in him from the very first visit. When a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer, it is a frightening journey but I felt reassured at every contact with Mr Leff that he was more than capable of treating me successfully. This had a positive impact on my stress levels and also helped my family deal with the situation calmly. On the day of the operation, every single member of the team was wonderful. Mr Leff visited me and carefully explained what he and his team would do ie perform a lumpectomy and a breast reduction. I was very grateful to have the breast reduction performed at the same time, and not have to wait for the left breast to be done at some future date, which would have caused a great deal of anxiety. I felt very well taken care of and in capable hands, at all times during my treatment. That this standard could be met under such mitigating circumstances is impressive. We only just post COVID19 and all the consequent delays, we also had travel, rail, and NHS strikes during this period. I have to say, there were no delays at all. Every deadline was met or achieved earlier than expected, and all this during a time of great stress on the NHS. I cannot express how lucky I feel to have Mr Leff leading the team taking care of me, and I would like to thank him for everything he has done for me, and also my family.

I met Dr Leff on the 5th of July for the first time in Charing Cross Hospital, when he informed me I needed to do a small operation on my left breast. I really appreciated his professional approach. His diagnosis was very clear, direct and he was extremely patient. After explaining everything to me, he booked me for the operation at the end of the summer. But during the summer he was able to bring forward the operation. Unfortunately this initial operation was postponed due to the emergent requirements for further check ups. During these check ups another cancer was identified in the left breast. Dr Leff took extra time to explained the situation and to deal with my fears and tears. A date was decided and he insisted that I shouldn't postpone it. The operation went well and the reconstruction was done at the same time. When he saw me, after the operation, he said the recovery was excellent but the lymph nodes sentinel were compromised so he decided on a second operation to remove all the lymph nodes. Although a date was decided, he was able to bring forward the operation and made sure that all the preliminary checks up where done. Again, he was able to deal with my anxieties and he reassured me that whatever needed to be done was going to be done. His decision was the right one as other lymph nodes were affected. I have no words to thank him for his professionally, his kindness, compassion and patience. I have heard so many positive comments and amazing accolations from various national and European medical organisation. I feel very privileged to be his patient.
