The care that I received was outstanding, both before, during and after surgery. The hospital building is excellent and a pleasure to visit.

It’s had an exploratory laparoscopy done at this hospital privately by a well recommend surgeon. I woke up at the early hours in severe pain with what felt like a very strong urine infection. I was told by the nurse on call that it was normal. The next day I told the staff clearly, I’ve got a urine infection. I asked for my urine to be sent for culture. They did not send it for culture despite guidelines for catheterisation saying ‘send straight to culture’. They gave me presumptive antibitoics. Over the next week to 10 days my infection becadme severe and travelled up to my pelvis and bowels. I rang to get my culture results and they told me they weren’t back. The reality was they hadn’t sent them. They offered no support, no advice, no offer to re culture my urine. I spent the next 3 weeks in agony thinking I had Pelvic inflammtory disease when instead it was two urine infections that I contracted during the operation. I was so unwell I was bleeding from both ends and couldn’t walk. I have been left in severe ongoing pain, because this hospital did not follow normal procedure and dismissed a 38 year old women telling them she had a UTI from a high risk catheterisation. BASIC HEALTHCARE.. Then the complaints team proceeded to gaslight me, also claiming I never called the hospital when I had the call logs. Dangerous practise, cannot carry out normal safety procedures on patients, cannot carry out trust worthy investigations when things go wrong. Staff are inadequate and under qualified. You couldn’t pay me to ever return here. Stay far away.

My experience at king Edward vii hospital was exellent. I felt safe and well looked after at all times. This made a huge difference to my mental state going into surgery and to my recovery after. My only complaint is that when I was called for my surgery (bearing in mind how nerve wracking it is going in for surgery) - the lady that took me up to theatre was visibly annoyed rolling her eyes when I said I needed to go to the toilet when we got up to the theatre. She was short and snappy and made me feel more anxious than I needed to be in that moment which was unnecessary. Apart from that I would say all the staff at king Edwards were exellent and very caring and helpful

Surprised this establishment still willingly associates with disgraced predatory surgeon barry Jones who is well known for having trainees carry out surgeries without the knowledge or agreement of his clients.

I had an extremely bad experience at this hospital and in particular with the nursing stuff and aesthetic practitioner. I would highly recommend the HCA hospitals if you want private hospital care, especially if you have overnight stay. 1. When I entered the pre-surgery theatre room, the aesthetic practitioner was playing extremely loud music, did not even greet/speak to me and started throwing cables, wires on my body. Not even once did he look at me. I felt quite scared if I am honest. Thankfully the consultant entered just when I was going to ask to cancel the surgery and she was very pleasant. 2. Following the surgery, I had to ask three times for painkillers the nurses. Each time I called the bell a new nurse would come and each time no one would bring me the painkillers. I had to complaint and the excuse I got was that they were not working there usually and they were temp staff.

I could not have stayed in a better hospital: all the staff in the hospital were great and had it not been for the staff, I might not have recovered as quickly or as well as I have done. Thank you everyone (all nursing team, catering team, housekeeping, physiotherapists and reception) - they all played a part.

I was treated at the King Edward VII's Hospital for breast cancer under the care of Mr Thiruchelvam and his excellent team of doctors and nurses. Every appointment I had prior to my surgery was on time and the medical staff were lovely - very friendly and extremely able. My stay in the hospital was very comfortable, the surgery was excellent, the food was great and the nursing staff were terrific.
