Doctor Carrothers has been absolutely amazing. He made feel at ease and totally comfortable from the first visit. I had a fracture of 5th metatarsal on my foot, which nicely and thankfully united after almost 6 months. Doctor Carrothers listened to what my problem was, what my fears were, and my desire to go back to a normal life as soon as I could. Of course, depending on the situation, we can't always go back to a normal life. Doctor Carrothers made sure that I was aware of what to expect if my injury was not healing as expected, in very calm and reassuring manners. He also was able to respond to questions I had at any stage of my injury, no matter how silly that might have sounded to me. He reassured me and made me feel I could trust his judgment and overcome a very stressful period. I would definitely recommend Doctor Carrother, he is human, kind, respectful, honest, with a lot of experience. Isn't this what we are looking for when our daily life is threatened by injuries and we need help to get back to normal? Thanks a lot Doctor Carrothers!

Had first consultation with Mr Carrothers on 17 August leading to hip replacement op on 11th October. Very quick and whole process very smooth . Operation a success and felt no pain afterwards. Discharged in two days Nurses and physio fantastic. 6 weeks later have started to drive again.

I am 75 years old. I have had 2 knee replacements, both carried out by Mr Carrothers. One of which was robotic surgery and the other the basic surgical procedure. Both of which have been a great success, 10 years ago I could not walk 100 yds easily and without pain, now recently I have walked 5+ miles with no pain. My experience of the difference in the 2 procedures is that I definitely recovered quicker after the robotic surgery, I have been for my yearly review after the robotic surgery and everything is great, I move about freely cycling and walking with no pain, I am even considering some skiing which I don't think will be a problem, stairs and hills used to be a big problem, not anymore.

I wasn't able to walk well (my family called it 'my waddle'!) or stand for prolonged periods without a great deal of pain and discomfort in my right thigh. I lead a busy professional life and buried my head in the sand a bit. I took pain killers and had regular physio sessions, which helped, but didn't solve the problem. I sought Andrew's opinion and right from the start he listened, was attentive and laid out a treatment plan that worked. It turned out I had a bursar which is responding really well to steroid injections. No waddle! I absolutely trust his expertise and insight. Andrew's secretary, Carol, is friendly and professional which gave me confidence about appointments and procedures. Give them a call, you won't regret it.

I had a total hip replacement only a few weeks before my 79th birthday. Now five weeks on I can manage all my usual daily activities well without support from a stick or crutches and without any pain. More improvement will follow provided that I continue with the recommended exercises. I was quite apprehensive about the possibility of the need for surgery but after meeting Mr Carrothers I knew that I would be in good hands and so I was able to look forward positively to the benefits. All my interactions with Mr Carothers and his colleagues - Dr Mahroof and Carol Morse - have been friendly helpful and straightforward. My thanks to them for their skills and the excellent outcome.
