Dr Martin Johnson

Dr Johnson has been the key doctor at the practice to support me after undergoing a stem cell transplant. He has always been my preferred doctor when needing to see one( although I am very happy with any treatment etc I have received from any of the doctors at Parkside) He has a particularly calm manner and when needed has been very reassuring but honest in his advice to me. When I was in hospital he made a point of phoning my home to ensure my family were coping and also when I was recuperating he phoned to ask how I was. This was greatly appreciated by me and my family. He has been exceptionally helpful in helping me manage my medication and understand more what was happening to my body and mind because of my medical condition. He greatly reassured me and this helped in my recovery. We could do with a few more like him in the NHS. He cares for his patients.

I have been with the practice for nearly 30 years and Dr Johnson has always been a very kind and caring doctor, who always give you time to discuss and concerns or worries that I have had. He is very approachable and never makes me feel like I am wasting his time. More recently he has been very helpful with personal issues that I have had and always been there to talk to on the phone if needed. I could not recommend him highly enough.

I have no reservations in recommending Dr Johnson. He listened, assessed, explained and treated me really well. I had previously been given some substandard advice (not from this surgery) and Dr Johnson assessed the situation himself and found the real issue and right treatment. I am really thankful and would be more than happy to return to him myself or with my young daughter.
