Being diagnosed with cancer out of the blue is totally terrifying. I have been so fortunate to be under the care of Fiona Tsang-Wright and her team, at this life changing event. Fiona, has natural empathy and exudes confidence and professionalism. My surgery under Fiona was expertly carried out exactly when she said it would. She explained to me in a manner I could understand all that my care would involve, for this myself and family are eternally grateful. Thank you x

I feel very confident in the care of Dr Tsang-Wright. Her team of clinicians at Chiltern Hospital were extremely caring and supportive throughout the process of consultations, mammogram, ultrasound and felt very little discomfort during two biopsies.

Dr Tsang-Wright was very comforting and made me feel at ease immediately. She explained everything in detail and made the experience as comfortable as possible. All other staff were also very welcoming, friendly and I would highly recommend.

As a very nervous first time patient, having found something suspicious, Fiona's calm and caring nature instantly put me at ease. I trusted her from the outset, she explained the process very well, and made me feel very comfortable even when being examined. I feel very very lucky to have been cared for by Dr Fiona.

Profile

Fiona is a Consultant Breast and Reconstructive surgeon at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust as well as in senior management as the Trust Cancer Clinical Lead. She is a committee member for the Association of Breast Surgery.

She has an expertise in managing breast diseases and breast cancer. All her clinics are set up with the best patient experience in mind: she will examine the patient and then arrange for imaging to be done at the same appointment (One-Stop Clinic) as she believes that this enables her to reassure her patients as quickly as possible, and reduce the anxiety of waiting for tests. Her feedback is positive and she is proud that she can make the experience of attending her clinic as pleasant and straight-forward as possible.

Fiona is involved in all aspects of a patient's treatment, and particularly in the management of breast cancer in younger women. She uses refined oncoplastic techniques to give women the increased possibility of conserving their natural breast or for those needing a mastectomy, she is an expert in immediate breast reconstructions using an implant to create a natural breast shape. She also liaises closely with consultant plastic surgeons for autologous reconstructions such as DIEP / LD.

Fiona has worked in different healthcare systems around the world and uses the experience gained in Singapore, Hong Kong and Dubai for the management of her patients in the UK. She has a demonstrable record in medical management at national, regional and local levels.

Fiona is dedicated to medical education and mentorship. She sits on the Oxford Regional Higher Surgery Training panel, is a final year examiner at the University of Oxford, an Associate Professor at the St George's University in Grenada, and teaches students from Oxford University and the University of Buckingham.

Fiona is a caring and empathetic breast surgeon who is keen to tailor and individualise the treatment of breast cancer to each of her patients.
