I have had several negative experiences within the NHS recently, but my appointment with Dr Neill reminded me what care should be. She was patient, she listened to me without judgement, I wasn’t rushed and I didn’t feel secondary to getting information on the computer (something which I find wastes a lot of time during appointments). I was examined, diagnosed and given advice during the appointment. I was saddened to hear that Dr Neill’s sessions at the Lime Tree are being reduced because of funding. She is an asset to the clinic and I’m sure has helped hundreds of patients to feel unashamed and less alone. I for one am extremely upset to learn that a good Doctor is being lost from a wonderful service.

I was referred to Lime Tree Clinic by my Doctors. I have never been to Lime Tree Clinic before and I did not know really what it entailed. I made my appointment & only had a two day wait. I went in there not knowing what to expect (I was very apprehensive) but as soon as I spent 5 minutes with Dr Neill I felt very at ease. I explained all my problems and what had been going on. She totally understood and did not jump to conclusions. I felt I was not rushed and she had time for me. She explained things very clearly & was very gentle. She also noticed that I had very dry skin and she advised me on which cream to use, she even gave me a bit of her own to try. I would certainly recommend Dr Neill she is a doctor who goes the extra mile.

I would like to express my wholehearted thanks to Dr Neill for her patience, genuine interest, approachable and non judgemental manner. As a man, I was very nervous about being completely unaware of what problem I had and having to discuss my sexual health with a stranger but as soon as this Dr introduced herself I felt very comfortable and confident that she was going to help me. I felt very unrushed and respected as an individual, not just the next patient. Thank you, Adrian.

Dr Neill is the first Doctor who has really listened to my problems. I did not feel that I was being rushed. She explained the physical situation very well, and also considered the mental one, which no-one has done before. She came up with sensible options, and agreed a plan with me to go forwards. She then wrote me a list of websites I could look at online for more help and items I could purchase, plus a prescription for something I had not tried previously. I left the session feeling optimistic, and with another date booked at reception to return visit to assess progress. Thank you Dr Neill!
