I like the service
Long waut tumes, staff attitudes and treatment of patients was rude. I spent over 8 hours in A&E. Delays could have been avoided if staff communicated better. I waited 2 hours for urine results, 1.5 waiting for the sample.to.be taken to.be tested. Cannula should have been put in when bloods taken but this was missed adding 40mins delay in treatment.
Most staff were brilliant
The only person that let everyone down was the woman that done my ECG
She walked past my cubicle calling my name by the time I got up she had gone
When she came back round I explained I had heard her but missed her to keep being told I called you I called you
Then to be asked have you got chest pain now ? I replied no , she then turned round looked at me and said you know that's why your here
Im 68 I've got cancer , Sarcoidosis and have just recovered from blood clots on my lungs , I did not ask to go to hospital I was told I had to go to be checked
That one person made me feel like I was a time waster , its people like her that give a brilliant service a bad name
During my experience at king George, I was brought in for anaphylaxis by ambulance- I was firstly given the wrong wrist band and then when removed, not given another. Baring in mind I have a lot of allergies.
I was then given a canula and drip and told to wait on a chair in a cubicle of 4 chairs (very claustrophobic) and not good for someone with TLP who can’t get over heated.
Once my treatment had finished , I was then told to wait outside, which I explained I have to be observed for at least a few hours before I go in the waiting area incase I have a secondary reaction.
After just sitting there for about 5 hours, I left with a high heart rate.
I had lovely staff whom all cared for me . With total dedication and respect.
"I recently had an unfortunate experience at King George Hospital's emergency department. While I understand that emergency rooms can be busy, my visit left me quite dissatisfied. The waiting times were exceptionally long, and the staff seemed overwhelmed. Communication was lacking, and I didn't feel well-informed about my treatment plan. Additionally, the facilities appeared outdated and in need of improvement. I hope the hospital can address these issues to provide better care for patients in the future."
“My recent visit to the hospital was marred by a deeply unpleasant encounter with Head Nurse Kerline. Her demeanor and behavior were shockingly disrespectful. I felt unheard and belittled during our interaction, which is entirely unacceptable when seeking medical care.
I was checked with the respect and quickly (when doctor was available).
Medical staff seem to patronise , regardless of your own intelligence or professional standing , not all but some !
Ineffective use of time and repetition of the same task .
Waiting 9 hours to be dealt with is not acceptable, given I was sent here for something that I was told was spreading rapidly and could affect my brain
I was treated with kindness I went to hospital A and E nearly after 5 years first I did not have a good experience but this time I notice the staff was friendly and kind and giving proper attention and in due time even they give me medicine for pain
I am happy with the management and the care received.
It is horrible the waiting time is unbelievable , staff is so rude the guy with long hair from emergency department didn’t even wanna tell me where the toilet is so I could give them the urine sample , after the nurse forget to put back the lid from my cannula , my blood was dripping everywhere even o my trousers , when she did the ECG she didn’t know how to put the cables she was struggling …I really feel worse then better ….but I can only thank to the last doctor that made me more calm as he told me my results are good and he was very nice as well his name was Ahmad ….also the English lady from reception is so rude even with the staff from ambulance she was shouting …she is disgusting she make people wanna leave sick like that
