I saw Mr Chapman-Sheath for my total right knee replacement following the excellent help, advice and success of my wife's two total knee replacements, 7 and 10 years previously. I also had excellent consultations and surgery. At 79 years of age I was driving and back at the gym and on the golf course, with a trolley, some 4/5 weeks after the operation. I had full flexibility of that knee. I was however surprised that I still suffered some discomfort when using stairs, putting on socks and turning in bed. This gradually diminished and I ceased taking any pain-killers at about 4 months. I have now been discharged by Mr Chapman-Sheath at 6 months and will have no hesitation whatsoever in returning to have my other knee replaced, if deemed necessary.

Instantly likeable and gives me great confidence. Explains everything clearly and says it like it is and not underestimating the feelings after the operation. Constantly promotes exercises and their importance and visits me everyday to encourage me. Clear concise and impressive as well as a friendly attitude and a smiley face. The Spire, nursing staff and physios all efficient and caring. Made a difficult experience bearable and manageable.

I had a total knee replacement in Jan 2019. I had done extensive research into the surgeon I wanted and Mr CS was my preferred option in the south of England. From the initial consultation through to the current post-operative phase he has been approachable, willing to answer numerous questions and at all times made me feel my case was important. He speaks in a clear and no-nonsense manner, is extremely confident but not cocky (unlike others in my experience) and this in turn instils confidence in me as a patient. I have no hesitation in recommending him.

I have been seeing Mr Chapman-Sheath for knee problems for around 4 years now and I have always felt I have got great care from him. I feel treated like an individual and not just another patient. He always has an upbeat, informative (explained in a clear and easy to understand way) and has a very knowledgeable approach to health care and I completely trust his judgement and advice. I also feel like he genuinely cares about his patients and wants the best for them which is very reassuring. I would definitely recommend him to anyone and I am personally grateful for all the good care and support I have had so far.

Excellent care from initial consultation through surgery and stay in Spire Southampton from all staff. I had no worries about surgery as the procedure and aftercare was fully explained by Mr Chapman - Sheath and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone requiring knee surgery.
