I had an operation on the 13th September 2017 ,bilateral removal of pip implants .I went to see Mrs A carmichael at the Queens hospital burton ,she was fantastic she listened to all my concerns about how i would look after the removal. Dr carmichael & her team reasured me everything would be fine ,& made me feel at ease as I was very nervous about the operation. I have had outstanding care from all the team I would like to say a massive thank you & I am thrilled with the results ,would highly recommend this surgeon & her team .

Mrs Carmichael was incredibly supportive throughout the whole process from consultations to the surgery and post op. I have had a mastectomy. She has been really brilliant - as have all the team. Incredibly caring and taken as much time as I needed. In the operating theatre I got abit upset and Mrs Carmichael was absolutely brilliant as she was again when I saw my scar for the first time. Just the right balance of professional and caring with abit of humor thrown in. All of the nurses and staff at the breast care unit were brilliant. I honestly don't have a negative word to say about any of them!

I have just experienced the most difficult two months of my life. I found a small lump visited my GP, attended the Burton Day Clinic 10 days later, and after a biopsy confirmed cancer I was booked in for surgery at the Burton Treatment Centre on the 13.9.17. There are three things you need in circumstances like this, professionalism, compassion, and clear information. I got all three from everyone I met at Burton Breast Cancer Unit and the Treatment Centre. This has not been an easy experience and now I am waiting for radiotherapy, but the care and understanding I have experienced to date from Mrs Carmichael and her team at the Clinic and Treatment Centre has been exceptional. Thank you all.

All staff were welcoming, polite and friendly. A volunteer even offered you a cup of tea which was much appreciated. Amul Carmichael was approachable, professional and had a sense of humour!

Miss Carmichael was my surgeon on 23 of September, I had a mastectomy because of cancer. She explained me everything I was going thru, was very caring and kind with me. The results after the operation were very good - cancer removed completely. Thank you very much and I wish you all the best!
